Preston Pointe at Brownstown Apartments

"Today I had the chance to visit this property and I can truly say upon arrival I was very impressed at what I saw not only was the grounds extremely clean the pool looked very clean and refreshing not to mention the children were play very peacefully in it during my visit and the property was very quiet even the parking lot was clean and pot hole free as well and the ladies I had the pleasure of meeting were very nice as well after what I seen I can see myself living here fast forward I was warned not to move here because they go up on there rent several times during your stay making it unaffordable to live in and that statement came directly from a section 8 specialist they let you qualify only to evict you later"

"This is the most Beautiful apartment complex I have ever been through. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The pool was so clean, and all the amenities are an added bonus! I love this area! It’s so close to shopping and i75! So happy to call this my home!"

"I hate the way the leasing office is ran, you can never get in contact with anyone. Previously, I called five times and was able to reach Beth the fifth time around. My mom has been going through the leasing process for over a month. The day she went in and applied she was told on the spot that she was approved. Why say that if they still have to send all of her information over to compliance? Three weeks later, my mom is asked for more information, more check stubs. Did they not send her information to compliance for almost an entire month because the first time around she sent everything that was asked for. Weeks of check stubs and then some. Within 24 hours after sending the updated check stubs, compliance has responded, ALREADY. This is what further led me to believe Jenna sat on the application for weeks. She then is told she makes too much money, shouldn’t Jenna have noticed this during our first sitting? Within those three weeks, my mom quit one of her jobs, we asked to resubmit. We then were told she makes too little money. Again, this took less than a week to hear back about. Which again, confirms the assumption that Jenna never submitted the application the first go round. Very discomforting. For 3 weeks, my mother emailed Jenna. Asking what was going on and if the home was still available. Barely received any replies. The first time in office, my mother was told she was approved and to hold the apartment she could give a money order for $100. She gave the money order. She was also reassured that if after compliance comes in and they say she is not approved she would receive $100 back. Jenna tells my mom you aren’t approved I can send the money order back to you. My mom won’t be able to cash a money order that is made out to Preston Pointe so why doesn’t she know that she’d have to issue a new money order or cashiers check so my mother would be able to cash it properly??? It has been weeks since my mom was told she’d receive her money back, still nothing. All in all, the level of communication is awful. I could’ve found my mom another place to live after a month of waiting on PP. This is very overwhelming as my mom started packing weeks ago, thinking she’d be moved in weeks ago. We are no longer interested in Preston Pointe."

"I only put two stars because the unit is nice and that's it. What leasing office is only open 3 days out of the week? They barely pick up the phone as well. I shouldn't have to hear someone say,"I cant take care of your issue that your having, so we're going to have to call you back" No call back yet! Oh wait, I forgot, your only open 3 days. It was such a hassle moving in. New management took over, they lost my paperwork and I had to re-do it, they told me I couldn't move the day I was supposed to move when I COMPLETED all my paperwork months in advance, told me a different price of how much my unit would be, and switched it up the day I moved. I didn't want to move then, but I had no choice because my other apartment lease was up and I wouldn't have had anywhere to go! The communication here sucks! I thank God my lease is up in May. And they recently lost my check when I put it in the drop box !! Talking about "It blew away" And then have the nerve to put a late fee on my account! They quick to put a late fee on my account but cant call me to let me know whats going on KNOWING I PAY MY RENT ON TIME EVERY MONTH WITH NO ISSUES?? You guys tried it. Do not move here they'll "lose your check""
