Maplewood Square Apartments

"We lived here with our kiddos and cats. These are great apartments - feel like homes. At the end of an established neighborhood with sidewalks and a great park within driving distance or walking. Small nearby trail with some neighborhood hills for walkers/runners... deer will be seen too. Lowell is a great place to live. Great management was easy to contact. If it's emergent obviously fast service, if not emergent then still good job on fixing things. Moving out can be a little stringent, but if you clean it up really good, should be ok. We would gladly stay there again."

"Do not expect to have your phone calls answered EVER. You should leave a message for Michael, the landlord, and he may or may not return your call. When a man was laying dead in the road, he was not reachable after a dozen calls were made to him to notify him of what was going on. And I don't know that he ever did return any of the calls made to him. You MUST fix every hole in your wall that you put in the wall - i.e. nail holes, shower curtain rods (which you must supply yourself), but you may not paint the walls - the landlord will charge you for this upon termination of your lease. I would not expect to see any of your deposit returned to you. In fact, you will be charged for absurd things such as cleaning the hanging rod in your closets. And if your cleaning is not to his standard (which must be high b/c I spent three nights cleaning my place prior to turning in my keys) he will charge you. All of my windows were cleaned, but he didn't like how I cleaned them...so I was charged for him to clean them once again. He didn't like how my mop boards were cleaned, so I was charged to have them cleaned again. He didn't like that I didn't pull out my oven to clean underneath - I didn't see anywhere in the lease where that was required and coming from a military background, I was always told NOT to move the appliances for fear that I may damage the appliance, gas line hook-up, etc. Expect to replace your ($5) blinds that he supplies the home with several times throughout your stay. Also make sure that you park your car IN YOUR GARAGE as there is now a $25 charge for every time you park your car in your driveway (I thought that's what a driveway was for). The landlord has no compassion for people. This is a business to him, and thus, treats people like they are his business/employees even. When in a business like this, I understand you cannot, nor should, give everyone a break every time they ask for a break. But, at the same time you cannot be in a business where you deal with people and be such a jerk. I would never recommend living in any of Michael Nosko's properties. EVER."
