"Last week when I tried to call to see where I was on the waiting list and told them my situation and how I need a place to live they told me to go to a homeless shelter starting to think living here is not worth it bec they ppl that work there are rude and don't seems to really care"
"Terrible management. Not worth the hassle to live here. They only care about getting you to sign the lease then won’t fix anything that goes wrong."
"Don’t ever move in. Even though it’s government property the people who run it are family. I gave my 30 day notice after constant harassment from General Manager Rachel and reported her on the Inteprid phone line. She also called my new landlord and harassed him to so she could try keeping me as a tenant demanding I pay $1000 in rent just because I’m engaged. Apartments aren’t even worth that much. Next thing I know her sister Jessica who is Regional Manager called to harass me next saying her sister is in the right to do whatever she wants. They wouldn’t let me turn my keys in either or sign any papers to move out. Called the cops while in city hall just to return keys, and one of the clerks said they are constantly getting harassment reports, and building infractions from there. Nothing ever gets fixed that desperately needs its, only minor stuff. If I ever get into a situation where my only choices are to be homeless or live there, I’d rather be homeless. They do shady things and up rent on people without your own income changing. It needs to be stopped."
"3 years ago I left this place a 1 star review. It is now under new management and it has gotten so much better since then. I've grown to enjoy it here even though it's not a permanent home. Compared to other cheap apartments, this one is a decent size. I enjoy the walk in closets, spacious livingroom, walking distance to downtown Cedar Springs, plenty of shopping and restaurant options nearby as well. What sells me on this place is mostly the location. The new staff here is so much nicer than the previous. It's still not the perfect place but for a temporary home Its a decent place to live while you're restarting your life. Make sure to get renters insurance."
"The staff are kind until you decide to move in. Then expect a constant smell of weed in the hallways of nearly every building and don't bother trying to use the lease to defend you because Jessica never sticks to it or enforces it. Planning to move out? Submit everything in triplicate and make sure to keep a copy for yourself or she might "Lose" the paperwork on the whole 30 day notice. Jessica has no problem skirting the law when it comes to eviction. Oh have someone who recently was taken off your lease and you want them back on? Expect her to try and tell you that if they are taken off again to not be allowed back on. Even if the person wasn't evicted. Lets not forget how she likes to tell people they are "better off alone" and that she "hates doing paperwork" so don't expect rent to go down if your unemployment check gets cut for a time or if any money coming in gets dropped. Have a death in the family? Doesn't matter if you can't make rent they will kick you out and take your deposit as rent. She will say one thing and do another. Make sure everything is in writing with them. Truth be told I wouldn't waste time with this place. There are mice and roaches in some of the apartments. How do I know all of this? My mom used to live there until my sister passed away. She was kicked out ahortly after. Save your money and your time. Find someplace else."
