"The spouse and I are planning a move from Metro Detroit to Manistee sometime in the next year and have started to look at properties here in the area. We met Margie at a house she was showing us, and in the process, asked her if she knew any good mechanics in town. We had just learned from the Havoline oil change shop that we had a drive train leak on our pickup, and worried that hauling our camper back home would cause serious damage to the vehicle. We had contacted several auto repair shops in Manistee and all the way over to Traverse City...nobody could get us in for 3 to 7 days, and we only had this day before our camping trip ended. This lovely lady pulled out her phone and called a guy she knew at Parkdale Auto and got us in. He confirmed that the differential pinion seal was leaking and the truck might not have made it back to Oakland County without serious damage to the drive train. So we are returning to Metro Detroit now with these take-aways: > Manistee is a pretty amazing place; > The people here are super friendly and go out of their way to help others; > Margie Zaccanelli will be our real estate agent when it comes time to make that move out here.
