Manistee Hotel

"Pleasantly surprised! Super cheap rooms are usually scary, but this was not. The pool and hot tub were clean and in good working order. Clean pool towels were well stocked and easily accessible. Had a great time relaxing and meeting other guests. Vending machines were in good working order and had some nice options. Breakfast was good, hot and well stocked. Staff was friendly. Our beds were very comfortable, bedding was clean. Bathroom was clean but bring your own toiletries, there wasn't any shampoo, conditioner, lotions (probably to keep prices low). There were clean towels and wash cloths. Our room had a clean and working small refrigerator and microwave, but no coffee pot (you should never use one in the room anyway). Heating unit in our room was like new, workedgreat and super quiet, but we did use the fan option which was a bonus. At checkout we were sincerely asked about our stay, which means a lot! This place is under a lot of renovation but they make it so it doesn't effect guests stay. My only concern was the floor in our room. Where the vacuum doesn't get along the walls needs attention, dirty. They listened and will address it (maybe because of the construction?) Overall, for the price I'm happy and will definitely stay again! Oh. Did I mention the beautiful view across the street?!! Absolutely beautiful."

"Old Hotel that is updated and clean! The room view of the lake is of the SS Milwaukee Ship. The heater and hair dryer in room worked very well. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Continental breakfast was good had scrambled eggs, sausage links and make your own waffle for hot food. We enjoyed our stay here for Old Christmas Festival & Parade. We would gladly stay here again!"

"Stayed 6 nights, smell of pot is strong, but that's in every store, restaurant, casino and home in mi. Get used to it. Room was very nice and clean. Only 2 towels.. yes. Don't ask the big emo girl with purple hair at front desk for nothing. She don't want you to have any towels, toilet paper or pool towels. Must be the owners daughter or she cant figure what her pronouns are , she's bad for business .All other employees were nice. Nice place. Sunrises are awesome there."

"Very friendly staff and the hotel room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast area needs some work. The young girl doing the breakfast was on it keeping everything filled. The only complaint the first batch of eggs were discolored the peanut butter was bad and the honey did not taste right as well and there was no butter for your bagels or toast."

"We would like to lay to rest any negative reviews relating to the motels amenities. My husband and I had a two night stay this Sept. 2023. We are pleased to inform anyone questioning the quality of this motel to be assured: the staff were pleasant and accommodating, and the amenities are as stated on the website. The linens were fresh, the mattress was comfortable, and the room clean. For anyone wanting a place to get a good nights sleep at affordable rates. This is the place"
