About the Business

The Delbridge House

The Delbridge House, located at 400 Cedar Street in Manistee, Michigan, is a historical institution with a rich past. Built by D.W. Mowatt in the aftermath of the Great Fire of 1871, the house was later purchased by James B. Delbridge, who rebuilt it in the Victorian Eclectic style using materials from his planing mill and sash factory. The home was stuccoed by local banker and businessman, George M. Burr, in 1910, but still retains much of its original charm and character. With careful preservation by various owners over the years, the Delbridge House stands as a testament to Manistee's architectural history.
