Northern Waters Distillery is a unique institution located in Minocqua, Wisconsin, where the legendary waters of the Northwoods meet Wisconsin-grown grains and regionally sourced fruits and botanicals. Our spirits are crafted through creative experimentation, showcasing our independent, small craft, and traditional nature with each batch, barrel, and bottle.
From rye and wheat to maple syrup and cranberries, our products highlight the flavors of the Northwoods. We take inspiration from Wisconsin's supper club cocktail history, updating classics and creating new favorites with our home-blended mixers like shrubs, bitters, and garnishes.
Our gathering space is designed with community in mind, featuring social tables, indoor and outdoor games, and a lakeside patio. "I am in awww about this place. Their drinks were unique and strong. Then I found the moonshine. Until today I have driven to Kentucky for my shine because no one makes it right. Well this place knocked it out of the park with their moonshines. From the plain shine to the lemon cranberry...wow. Amazing stuff. I left with 6 jars and a pouring spout. I will gladly drive 4 hours up north to stock up on moonshine! Great job Northern Waters Distillery!"
"The cocktails we had were unique and delicious. We had the Bees Knees, Blueberry Basil Mule, and Dirty Chai. The staff were very nice and attentive. If you are looking for a good drink in the Minocqua area, you need to stop by."
"We stopped here with friends over the Columbus day weekend and absolutely loved the place. Great distillery located right on the water that was decorated perfectly. The bartenders were both attentive and quick to answer any questions we may of had. Being an Old Fashion lover I chose to try their festive Pumpkin Bourbon Old Fashion and must say it's now my all time favorite. My wife had a raspberry vodka lemon drop martini and she was equally satisfied. Our only complaint was not being able to spend more time there. We will definitely be returning the next time we pass through town."
"Awesome selection of craft cocktails. Tasting flights as well for only $10 and a lot of swag you can take to go. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and need something other than just Jack & Coke or a beer."
