"Hyatt Legal Services attorney through Ford Mo Co. Previous reviews noted. Filed probate for my Dads estate with this attorney whom i will refer to as #3 for clarification purposes. He was on the list of hyatt attorneys. A previous attorney (#2) for an unrelated matter told us he was a former jesuit and i know he taught at u of d. He did a lady bird deed on a house we occupied at the time. We paid him a nominal fee. After Mom died in 2010, not knowing how to proceed i went back to that local lawyer. (#2). He asked to copy then keep the Will my parents had written elsewhere in 99 (#1) by Senior Living. Relieved it would be kept safely, i obliged. The will disinherited an adopted son (grandson/son of one of their children who would still be her heir) whom they hadn't seen or heard from for years but whose wife and mother in law called repeatedly cursing at them on their answering machine. Somehow they wanted to create a religious war which it wasnt. That may have provoked them to write him and his drama laden litigious wife and mother in law out because my nephew did not stop them, defend them or contact my parents (whom they referred to as THE grandparents and Granny and Grandpa.) In 2013 i requested the Will (#2) he held for "safekeeping" and he said he didn't have it. (Which would make Dad intestate.) Obtained a copy of Will August 2013 elsewhere. Had a breakdown. My Dad died in 2014 while i was hospitalized. In 2015 i filed Probate with Hyatts lawyer (#3) with a copy of the will. During the course of moving i located a second copy of the original. Too late this attorney office #3 told me, we started formal we have to still go through the court and all the legal proceedings required (and expenses). I would not give another attorney the only original i had left but told this attorney i had it at home and how i found it. I was very forthcoming and trusting. I hired another attorney (#4) due to some of the problems i was having with this one (#3) costing $2k for basically nothing but an argumentative lawyer whos only job it was was to get a copy of a bill and file a continuance and fire this one. Apparently he made himself busy enough to earn that retainer with things i didn't ask him for because i didn't get anything back from that retainer. My parents endeavored to avoid complications, attorney and court fees and went to the senior living center (#1) to have legal documents drawn up. They were simple, hardworking people, my Dad a purple heart veteran. They left their five children a paid off home on 2.5 acres in Deerfield twp that had mineral rights as a parceled farm which has been sold by the court and the newly assigned lawyer [#5] but the other attorneys (2, 3, 4) get to wash their hands. (#1 was a good, hardworking lawyer giving time to senior living.)"

And he treated us like were a burden whenever we spoke, which trying to get in touch was nearly impossible. If I would have had to pay for this service I would be even more upset than i already am. I highly recommend you go with a different lawyer if you are looking for one."
