About the Business

Bend of the River Conservation

Bend of the River Conservation is a 70-acre complex located in southern Berrien County Michigan. Established in 1946, this institution offers a free program to teach gun safety to young individuals, providing equipment and ammunition at no charge. Safety is the top priority at Bend of the River, with strict rules in place such as always keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, keeping fingers off the trigger until ready to shoot, and wearing eye and hearing protection while on the range. The institution has designated rifle and pistol bays, a 300-yard rifle range, and a trap range for clay pigeon shooting. Members and guests are reminded to clean up after themselves and follow all safety guidelines while using the facilities. Located at 900 Mayflower Road in Niles, Michigan, Bend of the River Conservation is dedicated to promoting safe and responsible shooting practices in a natural setting.

"I'm only familiar with the 100 and 200 yard ranges. I've only every shot here to fulfill work qualifications and obligations, but everything is always clean and well maintained. Theyre currently doing some renovations and im looking forward to seeing the end reault."

"This is more than just a conservation club as they offer a variety of firing ranges up to 200 yards. The only downside is, it's not open to the public because it's for members and guests only."

"Excellent pistol bays with backstop on three sides and tables under small pavilions. Club owned steel targets were set up in one of the bays when I was there. Also, Two bays are set up for pistol, rifle and shotgun. Bays are about 25yrds deep. There is also a 200yrd rifle range with room for four shooters."
