"Denied my claim. Employer said I would get paid for time off. Only true if you can find a doctor to fill out the hartford paperwork. Hartford literally told me to Google doctors and start calling. Yeah I'm good, rip off company. I asked for recommendations, wouldn't give any. Don't pay for their services, they are useless."

"I got ripped off by this Insurance Company. They gave me a policy I did not ask for I told him I want the cheapest possible rate and don't want full coverage. They gave me one of the most expensive plans without my knowledge and told me. I have to wait till next year to change it. I didn't ask for it in the first place. That gave me accidents forgiveness and I don't have full coverage. I don't have accent claim insurance. Why would I request action forgiveness? When I don't even have accidents? I found this out months later and II told them to check the conversation. You'll find nowhere in that conversation that I ask for your advantage plan. Not even heard the word before they told me that there's nothing they can do. I'm stuck with having to pay more than I asked For a policy I did not want and never asked for or signed my name, too. They're taking advantage of seeing your citizen And refuse to make it right. I guess my next step is michigan attorney general's office. Along with social media I've been driving. With license for fifty years, never had a Problem before With any other Insurance Company? I switch from State Farm to Hartford Insurance Company because they told me they had better rates, and They take care of older drivers. I didn't understand what that meant. Didn't understand it meant taking your Money then give you what they want you to have, so they can make money. It shouldn't be like that. I know I'm just 1 person out of a probably hundreds of thousands and a probably don't make a difference. To the company losing 1 person. I know it's business to them. But to me getting what I ask for means the world Because I don't have their budget. Everyone, thank you for listening, have a blessed day."

"You have to make many calls to get your disability money. I am still trying to get my money from mid May and it is late June. Their excuses are that they do not have all the paperwork when there’s proof that it’s been faxed and emailed many times by the doctor. This is going to be turned over to the Michigan Attorney General."

"If I could rate this company zero stars I would. This is my husbands short term disability insurance through his employer. This is by far the worst experience with a disability insurance we’ve ever had. I have my own through my employer and they never have an issue receiving my paperwork, contacting me, returning phone calls, and approving my claims with days. DAYS. The Hartford by comparison says they never receive paperwork from our doctor (the doctors office sent it 3 times and we sent it 3 different times), can never return phone calls and every representative says something different. It is astounding. My husbands sickleave paperwork for surgery was submitted June around June 15. He did not get paid until August 3. It took them that long to approve a straightforward surgery claim where he had to be off 8 weeks. We called multiple multiple times to be told the caseworker was looking at it. For 7 weeks?! We requested supervisors to call him back. Nothing. Come to find out his caseworker went out of leave of absence and no one was looking at his claim. That is unacceptable and unprofessional. When his leave got extended for an additional 4 weeks the same thing continues to happen. Lost paperwork. No return phone calls from supervisors or caseworkers. As of September 14 we are still waiting for his last 5 weeks of sick pay. He has already returned to work. Ironically, my own disability/fmla insurance provider approved my 2 weeks off that I needed to stay home with him within 3 days of his surgery. I would never use this company or recommend them to anyone. It’s nothing but a headache. It’s been several hours of phone calls- multiple phone calls weekly. And for older people or people who may not understand fully they probably never get paid their claim money. My husbands surgeon and family doctor said this is the worst company to deal with and they dread anytime someone has papers from The Hartford."
