Spirit Lake Retreat

"This was a great home base for exploration in northern Michigan. Convient options for meals, including Leggs Inn and Petosky Brewing, which are within walking distance. The owner of the Three Pines art gallery welcomed us into her beautiful shop. We drove the tunnel of trees south along the lake from Cross Village and ate pizza and did the wine tasting at Pond Hill Farm. We enjoyed hiking with lake views in the beautiful Wilderness State Park. Communication with Dan was easy. The suite was clean and new, the water warm, and the bed was comfortable. Multiple pillow styles for picky sleepers- great idea! We'll be back"

"We stayed for 2 nights, and we would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area. The place felt very cozy and had everything we needed, and everything was clean and updated. The location is perfect as well. We tried the two restaurants in town (both within walking distance), Legs Inn and Petoskey Brewing Company, which were both delicious. This is also only about a 30 minute drive to the bridge, so we easily took a trip to Mackinac Island while we were here. Something else we would recommend while you are here is stargazing. We were a relatively short walk down to the beach, and the night sky is beautiful out here. We also stargazed at Wilderness State Park while in town, and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights one night. We even had a couple local cat visitors that liked to greet everyone and follow us around town. We would highly recommend Spirit Lake Retreat, it had everything we hoped for!"

"Spirit Lake Retreat was perfect for the start to our family vacation! Leggs Inn is a must see for dinner, drinks and an amazing view. We walked down to the beech and enjoyed the views and played in the sand. The bathroom in the cabin was excellent. The location was perfect for us. We had a great time."

"We loved staying at Spirit Lake Retreat! The suite was very modern and clean — so well decorated and comfortable. The furnishings are new and modern. The bathroom/shower is great! The grounds are very nice — big grassy area and outdoor chairs. You can walk to the art gallery next door, the excellent historic restaurant overlooking Lake Michigan or the lovely public park and beach. The price was very reasonable for such a new and beautiful place. We are looking forward to returning!"

"This was a great getaway in a location within a short distance of other wonderful Michigan attractions. My suite was exceptionally clean and had all that they promised on their website.
