"John from country carpet shoppe came out to measure our carpet, and quoted the 100% wool Hibernia at $9400. There competitor who was of equal quality as a company and selection of 100% wool quoted $9100. We liked the color of CCS a little better but both carpets were equal quality and installation skills and time. We offered Ken at CCS, the owner, the opportunity to reduce their price $300, or 3% to get the order that day, they refused to budge an inch. In my opinion, having owned and run businesses for 35 years this was a very bad business decision on there part. Carpet Mart got the order at $9,100. We are really happy with the 100% wool quality instillation. One more note, last year we had CCS install new high quality carpet in our whole upstairs. We were happy with their work, this was their business to lose. they lost this job and when we do the full reck room and basement bedrooms next year they will have one more chance to earn what they lost but now Carpet Mart is in the lead for that job. Years of business taught me to keep good customers in house and 3% is more costly than one thinks as new customer acquisition is very expensive."
