"The train was beautiful and my granddaughters had a great time with the characters who came through to sing and tell jokes. A bit underwhelming, overall, with a lack of engagement. Would have been nice to have music or commentary about the train or the town, etc. The side of the train with the large windows was on the highway side, so it wasn't as scenic as we hoped. The newspaper with information on the organization was a cute touch and done well. Definitely geared toward ages 2-8ish. We were there as a family, so 5 adults and 2 kids under 5, and probably should have chosen a different activity to spend $300 on. The girls loved it, especially the 5yo, so it was an enjoyable time."
"Beautiful railroad. We attended the murder mystery ride and really enjoyed it! Lots of laughs and fun story line as we cruised along the tracks from coopersville to marne. Highly recommended!"
"It was a clean train, nice and friendly staff. We wish there would have been some commentary about the town and history of the trail and railroad as we went on, but no biggie. We did get a newspaper with a lot of details and updates about the train. Would for sure recommend if you're in the area."
"What a great time!! We sat in the caboose where the kids got to sit up top. The chairs were SO comfortable and it was nice having the table to sit at. The train rolled at 10 mph so a nice speed to take in the scenery. We took the October themed pumpkin train where the kids had on costumes, apple cider and donuts were on our caboose and two girls dressed as a pumpkin and a crow came in and performed a few songs for us. They were really good and the kids really liked it. The kids also got to pick a pumpkin when they got off the train. Not to mention the fantastic eateries right around the corner, pizza, donuts and an ice cream shop. Nice fall day, we will be back next year!!"
