"Exceptional service and prices, we moved from Philadelphia to Antrim County to build our lakefront home. I wanted to use a local lumber yard instead of a big box store because in my experience they are more customer focused and know the ins and outs that builders need. We did the entire wood & window (Andersons) through them. I must say their prices were better than big box stores. I would highly recommend Carter Lumber !"
"Unfortunately, while we try to support our local businesses rather than go to the big box stores, we asked for a quote on building materials for a standard 24x24 garage….and have heard nothing from them. We supplied blue prints and everything needed for a quote. It’s been over a month, we’ve emailed 3 times and called twice. No response except from the person answering the phone, saying she’ll “go light a fire under someone”. If they are too busy and can’t handle the extra work, at least be courteous and follow up on emails and phone calls."
