"On March 31st 2022 I took my Hyundai Sonata in to Oakland Auto because it was pulling to the right. I called early on Friday to get status. They told me it would need brake pads and rotors but there was still some break pad left. Also tires in front worn and need an alignment. I told him to just change the 2 front tires and do the alignment. Which was going to be around 600.00 dollars then when I had the money later I would get the rest done. I know what I said. I am permanently disabled and live on a fixed income I would never had given the okay to do other work that didn't need to get done or that I couldn't afford to pay. So Friday the car was done. I went there to pay thinking it would be 600.00 dollars. Instead I was given an invoice for four new tires, my back tires didn't need to be touched at all except rotating a bent rim to the back. So 4 new tires, brakes in the front, rotors in front and an alignment and labor and tire disposal, I did not give my consent for all that to be done. The mechanic said I said go ahead and do it all but I didn't ever say that. I struggle and live on a fixed income and with inflation I did not need a 969.16 dollar bill. They said they would work with me with payments but I didn't need to be owing anybody anything. I would have liked my back tires that had good tread left alone and just 2 new tires in the front end and the alignment that's all. Now I have 369.16 dollars I have to pay off. I barely get by every month. The work they did was good and they were nice, but I was very disappointed that I said one thing and they did another and now , I'm in debt to them and have to pay this off. If anyone goes there make sure they just do only what you ask or you may find yourself in the predicament I find myself in."
