"My son is a current patient - I made the decision to go with a different orthodontist for my daughter because scheduling with this clinic is too painful. If you have to reschedule an appointment due to your child being sick or anything; good luck! Had to cancel my sons appointment because his school just called for me to come pick him up as he is ill. The soonest they could reschedule him is June 21. When I asked to be put on a cancelation list, they stated they didn't have one but I "could call every couple days to see if something is available". My son has a broken bracket and had to pull his own wire out because it was cutting into his cheek. We paid in full for his braces upfront and what was supposed to be a 2-year process looks to be going into 3 or more. Not to mention they are SUPER EXPENSIVE compared to the other three orthodontists in the area- just FYI. Price wasn't the issue for us, we were recommended Dr. Hacken by our dentist, who I trust. In conversing with my hygienist however, I found that they only recommend him because he's close to their office. So, because it's so difficult in getting appointments, I made the decision to go with another orthodontist for my daughter and that's where I learned about the huge price discrepancy- same exact products but about $1,000 less. Finally, I've only seen Dr. Hacken twice- once during our initial visit to learn about what my son needed and the second time during his first appointment to have the braces put on. Haven't seen him since."
