"Horrible experience I was let go after being accused of lying to them about a injury where I literally couldn't move my fingers for days without horrible pain!"

"I do not recommend, my wife and I worked a 7 day week with OT days so it amounted to 66 hours plus we were told we would get $150 bonus added to our checks for working 7 days, our checks get deposited, mine was only $600 and hers was only $315. Like what? At 17.25 a hour for the normal 40 hours and roughly $25 for the 26 hours. HR refused helping us, tried to tell my wife she only worked 32 hours."

"I have 12yrs of experience in a manufacturing environment. I will simply list what I have witnessed and personally experienced. 1.) Of $90 worth of gift cards given to me I was taxed from the actual hours I worked ~ 45%. 2.) Out of 17 testimonials from new employees starting on an off shift that incentivizes a shift premium, 17/17 did not receive it on their first paycheck. In fact, it is only corrected once an employee addresses this conflict 3.) Moving up in pay took 3wks to correct even though it was pointed out to multiple sources many times throughout 2wks that pay was incorrect. Was not given contact information within new department, new department literally asked who I was, and transfers advertised at 30 days or less took 45 days. 4.) Accused of not working a Saturday which was 1.5*base pay. 2 wks spent fighting that. Note 3 managerial roles let higher ups know that I was present and worked the entire shift. Only once I was pointed out to be a minority did they realize they were reviewing the wrong set of cameras. Mind you all follow up/updates were on employee's end. 5.) During interview for hire specifically mentioned previously working 60hr weeks and wanted to get to 50 and closer to 40 preferably. Was promised that 50 was the cap typically and 5 day weeks are typical with sprinkled Sat work that can be gotten out of. For 6 mos averaged 54hrs given that I called in days I was supposed to work in order to give myself a break. First week worked and untrained I was asked to work 52hrs. 6.) If and when paychecks are corrected there is not a system to do so on spot and you are expected to wait until the following week's paycheck assuming they can verify and correct in time. Usually it is seen two weeks from the initial pay period. 7.) On numerous occasions HR has treated me as a nuisance when requesting to go over the discrepancy I have with my paycheck. 8.) Advertised a referral bonus which I enrolled in and the person never received their bonus. Honestly the list goes on but they are subtle to what has been mentioned. If you need a job starting at an okay pay go ahead. Magna knows the advantage to it's location and leverages it. This company has literally had an expansion that has doubled it's size and still cannot fill it's openings even though being the only other factory next to GM Wood and Bucher within 15mi. Magna's reputation is the same in Grand Haven and all plants in Holland. Again I am not drawing an opinion I am merely stating my factual experience."
