"(Originally posted to the parts supplier, though intended for repair facility) The young woman answering the phones is frankly quite rude, dismissing, and does appear not have the capacity to speak with human beings . I called three weeks back for a quote, knowing there is a wait for everything these days. Today, I followed up, mentioned this specific quote, and she presumed to start all over again as if this was my first call. Then she made a excuse of how busy the business is as if its now my problem. While speaking with this woman, she seemed out of breath, in a hurry, and could not follow direction nor listen. Eventually, while providing her a vin# per her request on the engine size (3.7L), she hung up in mid sentence. So I fixed it myself , saving more headaches. Update 2/15/2024: They pulled the motor of my GF's Subaru to fix the head gasket ($2600). When they returned the motor, they damaged the power steering line. The vehicle was sent back, and fixed at my expense ($165). I identified the location of the line leak from the old part I requested they save, and a mark on the frame where this line was pinched. They offered to split the cost, I declined. Now the power steering squeals due to lack of fluid (they can't even fill up the reservoir correctly)."

"My wife and I were driving from Elgin, IL area to Grand Haven, MI on 8/23/2023 when the check engine light suddenly came on and our van began running very rough. We were in Saugatuck when we pulled over into a hotel parking to search for a car repair shop. We called a car dealership and also a car repair shop that the hotel people suggested. Both places said they were too busy. We then called Ihle Auto Service which we found on a Google search and saw they had real good reviews. They also said they were busy but since they were about 6 miles away on the same road, they could at least read the code to try to determine the problem. The code pointed to a bad fuel injector. They then said they could replace it but they couldn’t get the part until the next day since it was so late. Since we had to spend the night in Saugatuck, they suggested places to eat and they even gave us a ride to the hotel! They repaired our van the next morning and we were on our way. I cannot recommend Ihle Auto Service enough. They took the van in even though they were obviously busy, they gave us a ride to the hotel, and they repaired the van. They were so helpful, competent and friendly."
