"I met Ken on a Saturday during an emergency I had while driving up the night before 4 & 1/2 hours from my house during my vacation. The 2 bottom bolts of my shock tower stripped and came through the bottom making it impossible for me to drive over 25mph with a rattle. Ken saw me when nobody else was open on a saturday morning in a town I was completely unfamiliar in. I called left a message he returned my call within an hour. He was extremely knowledgeable about cars fixed it within an hour and I was able to drive go fishing and enjoy my vacation like planned. If it wasn't for Ken I wouldn't of been able to do that he saved my whole trip. He has reasonable with prices and if I'm ever in town again with an issue I'll see him again before anyone. "My transmission went out on my Yukon. I called around for pricing and warranty information. Ken was priced well and offered me a 25,000 warranty on rebuilding my transmission. I had my vehicle towed there for him to fix. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything from Ken and not returning my phone calls I stopped in to check it out. He told me he was waiting on parts. I went to his house on week 3 again because he did not return my phone calls. He told me the parts were in but, he was too busy to get to it. He kept pushing my truck back to do easier and quicker jobs, He told me he would try and get it done the following week. Week 4 came and I still did not hear anything from Ken so, I went to his house again. He then told me the rebuild did not fix the problem and that he would buy a used transmission and put it in. Finally week 5 The used transmission finally showed up and I received a phone call that my Yukon was done. When I went and picked it up he told me the used transmission only had a 6 month warranty and not the 25,000 mile warranty he promised me. At this point i was fed up with the amount of time it had taken but, I remained calm and just wanted the transaction over with. So, I go to inspect my truck before I drive away and it was obvious he had hit a pole or something with my truck because there was white paint all over the rear quarter panel. He had the nerve to say," I don't know what to tell you dude.....". My experience at Port City transmission was horrible. I would not recommend him to anybody. He won my business because of his promise of a 25,000 mile warranty. Which he did not deliver on and it took nearly 6 weeks to get my Yukon back Avoid taking your vehicle to Port City Transmission/Ken's Auto Repair."
