"The route from Illinois north on 51 via I-90 and 39 has no highway side rest areas until this HURLEY, so there is no place to rest and get enough sleep when traveling at night. We also recommend that you drive with caution as you may come in contact with wild animals. It is recommended that you get gas refills and warm drinks in the town of Tomahawk in the foreground. For daytime driving, there are no major problems. There is a Michigan Information Center just around the corner, but it may be safer to rest here at night, as the parking lot is open."
