"I've brought my Jeep to the Marquette Midas twice now for different things and can't speak highly enough of these guys! Polite, professional and extremely helpful, without ever talking to me like I'm an idiot for not knowing how certain parts work. Definitely recommend them!"

"I rarely feel compelled to write reviews, but couldn't help it in this case. I took my vehicle in to diagnose and fix (hopefully) an issue related to stalling out (happened that morning) when I had the heat on and was braking. This incident didn't produce a "code" / result in the service engine light coming on. But obviously there was an issue. Long story short, and after spending $1700 on other things they found (brakes, axle work), I drove away with the heat on and almost immediately stalled out again. I took the vehicle back and watched the mechanic toss my keys on the desk to the manager, stating there's nothing else he could do. The manager's explanation was that because the stall out didn't produce a code that they couldn't diagnose the problem. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that the things they replaced really needed it, which was helpful. But they didn't fix the original problem I had. My question is why did they agree to work on the car without a code originally? (which was their rationale for not working on it any further). It seems to me that if no code = no ability to diagnose, then they should have turned me away originally, but then they would have lost the ability to find other issues to fix. So I spent $1700, without a fix for the original issue, and was told they couldn't help me any further. Needless to say, I was not pleased. I went back and read their policy, which states that they provide a written estimate of work to be done, before it's completed. While I received multiple phone calls (your brake pads are worn, your right axle needs work, your left axle also needs work, a caliper has to be fixed), I never received a written estimate."
