"Was quoted for a simple job 1100, said cool. They call back a few days later saying I needed more fixes, and already ordered the parts (low quality parts I wouldn’t have put in my car). Made me pay closer to 2500 for fixes I didn’t approve. Don’t trust these guys with a go-kart. 0/10 would not recommend to a friend"

"After reading the reviews I figured this was probably the most reputable place nearby. My call was answered promptly by a friendly young lady that said we don't do estimates. It'd be best to bring it in. I said I need a rear end replacement and it's not driveable and I'm not willing to tow it unless I have a promise of work being done. Her response was basically 'Too bad for you'. Disappointed at best. She then let me know they were pushed out until September. I politely thanked her for nothing and hung up. It's called an estimate for a lot of reasons. I completely understand that the price may be more or less than the expected. They might be the best mechanics in the UP. I suppose I'll never know."

"Normally I do all my own work, but I was having trouble with this particular issue so I brought my truck into JB's. I told them there was a bad creaking coming from the driver front, and I was losing some brake fluid and noticed a smoke and smell coming from behind my brake booster. After a free diagnosis, it turned out that my valve cover gasket was leaking slightly onto my exhaust, and my ball joints were bad. Long story short, they replaced my valve cover gaskets and my lower ball joints. They were very honest with me and told me exactly what was wrong, and when I told them I wanted only certain things fixed because I'm on a college student budget, they worked with me and did only what I asked without trying to upsell anything. They even found a leak in my driver front brake line, and replaced it without charging me labor since it wasn't in the original diagnosis/it was done before I was told. After taking the truck home, I noticed the valve cover gasket was still leaking and I called them back immediately. They told me to bring it back in and they would get to it immediately, and it would be no charge to me. It turned out to be an issue with the gasket manufacturer, so it was completely warrantied. They walked outside & met me in the lot as soon as they saw me pull in this second time (now that's service), and took my truck right into the shop. It was done that day. Now she's all fixed and rides like a caddy. Their labor rates were extremely competitive with anyone around. Very happy with the work they did, and if I ever have issues that require a shop again, I will be certain to bring it back to them. Can't thank these guys enough for being so helpful, punctual, honest, and polite!"
