Bohemia at The Detroit Club

"My friend's and I had reservations at Bohemia on Friday, February 10 at 7:30pm. This was our very first visiting the The Detroit Club and we were very dissatisfied with the service that we received. There was another event taking place in another room of your establishment and there was not enough wait staff in the main dinning room. Our reservations were at 7:30pm we did not receive our ordered beverages until 8:20pm. I soon realize that our server was wearing many hats. He was the hostess, he was serving the entire dinning room, he was behind the bar, and tending to the party guests. That was unacceptable. I will say he was did the best he could without additional assistance and our experience could have been a whole lot better. 2 of my guests including my self got extremely sick on their ride home from what was consumed during our dining experience. In the event you know there is an event going on and your main dining room is still open, please be mindful of what your guest will need in the moment along with your wait staff. Will we come back? In the moment we aren't sure."

"Very cool place. Loved the old dark wood decor. Service was good. Might have been better. We ordered a particular steak and the waitress came back later and said they were out, we changed the order, OK, it happens. We ordered a side a green beans and grill squash was served. The waitress said they ran out. Fine, but why no earlier heads up and the opportunity to make another choice versus just being served what we didnt order? They did it for the steak. The steaks were not a great cut of meat. Seemed prepared to our desired temperature, but a tough chew. I was hoping a nice dinner would drive an interest to join the Club. Unlikely now."

"We are here for the first time this weekend. Of course, I’d seen the beautiful building many times but didn’t realize it was open to the public. So glad we visited. This place is both cozy and elegant. I absolutely love the charm of the building itself. Such a beautiful dinning room! The cocktails and food were top notch. The staff was friendly, and attentive. I highly recommend it!"

"Had a disappointing dining experience at Bohemia. The food quality was reminiscent of cruise ship fare, and my calamari and shrimp appetizer felt more like a hot fried mash. The dipping sauce was a watered-down version of 1000 island dressing. The Caesar salad had the same issue with diluted ranch like dressing on a few leaves of lettuce. The salmon was overcooked, salty, with a grayish tone to it and the mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box. The best part was that our waiter was friendly and polite. My advice: Stay at the Detroit Club but avoid the restaurant for a better dining experience. Total money wasted: $230 for two. Bohemia rating:⭐️⭐️"

"Our first sweetest day together as a couple and first visit to The Detroit Club did not fail our special night! Everything was wonderful! The host, our waitress and the good was so tasteful! We'll definitely be back for many more evenings to come! DeDe and Joe"
