"My fiancé booked us a dinner at the Highlands for Valentine’s day and it was an amazing experience! The way up in the elevator with the views was incredible. The sunset was breathtakingly beautiful. They had a special menu for Valentine’s Day. We ended up getting the Australian Wagyu cut (Halal) with mashed potatoes and butter, the ravioli from the appetizers, & the lettuce Gem salad. We also got two mocktails. The food was delicious! Our favorite was the ravioli with the burnt butter. For dessert we got the cheesecake and crème brûlée and they were both out of this world! So balanced out and super light. I would highly recommend! Overall a great experience to remember."

"We attended a tasting and tour of Highlands. The views are spectacular and the tasting was delicious. The different seating areas, both large, small, and initmate allows for unique experience each and every time you visit. Looking forward to another visit, this time for a full meal!"

"Highland Detroit restaurant provides an average dining experience. While the food is okay, the limited menu might not appeal to those seeking variety. Additionally, the prices seem higher compared to the overall dining experience, making it a less favorable option for those looking for value in their meal choices. The view from the 71st floor is simply breathtaking. Perched high above, it offers a panoramic spectacle that's hard to match. The cityscape unfolds in every direction, creating a mesmerizing vista that adds a special touch to any visit. Whether it's during the day with the hustle and bustle of the city or at night when the lights twinkle like stars, the view from the 71st floor is beautiful."

"You go up 72 floors, the elevator was stable and didn’t creak or anything which is something I was nervous about. It’s a smooth ride up. The view is beautiful, we went around sunset/ night time. The workers are very nice. I will have to say, the food looks better than it tastes. I ordered the 3 course meal for about 90$ I think, and I was pretty disappointed with my meals. They look amazing but they didn’t taste very good. I also ordered lamb chops as my main dish, and I was very disappointed because there was only 2. My brother ordered the steak by itself and that tasted really good, so I would recommend just getting 1 entree vs the 3 course deal. It’s about the same price. Overall, I would come back here, but maybe just for dessert (which I didn’t try). It’s a beautiful spot and amazing view, but I would not come here for the food again. Overall experience 6.5/10"

"Probably one of the most complete meals we have had where everything from start to finish was excellent. Plenty of nice places where one course or one thing does not meet the rest of the night. Everyone was courteous upbeat and friendly from the host downstairs to the host and hostess upstairs. Plenty of restaurant lounges that you sit in before you eat are difficult to find service in if you're not sitting in the main area but there was plenty of open couch and individual seating and as soon as we sat down someone came up and took her order and checked on us no less than three times while we were waiting for our table. Once seated again the staff was great took note of our food allergy and we never had to mention it again. Every course was excellent and their liquor selection is not only great it is also price lower than what you would expect. Balvenie 14 normally priced around $34 to $35 an pour everywhere else was only 28 dollars. Macallan 18 at $70 is quite a bit lower than the normal $85 to $95 everywhere else. Given the view quality of service and location in comparison to everywhere else it's extremely reasonably priced for the experience. If there's only comment to be made is the fact that they advertise the Canadian Club Chronicle 42 year at $100 a pour. That is extremely overpriced for a bottle that's easily attainable for $350 about a mile away at the duty free and giving its age is a pretty mediocre whiskey. The 43 is just as attainable the same price and is far better than the 42 in every way. The restaurant is classy and beautiful on the inside and the view was a fantastic way to spend the evening."
