"This little place looks like it's straight out of a movie. It's fine dining in a wine cellar. The place was cozy, but there was room for groups and couples. The food was amazing, and the portions were good. The decor was also amazing, I couldn't stop looking around. The waitstaff were very attentive and on point. Everything about this place was great."

"This restaurant menu is not expansive but each item is delicious. We enjoyed the filet, salmon, lamb, and Ceasars salad. We enjoyed the plantains and foccicia bread. The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic. I highly recommend. We enjoyed the wait staff. We recommend Chad. He was very helpful and attentive. Easy parking in nearby garage."

"Once a month our "Great Ate" group goes out and enjoys an evening of fine dining, eating, and laughing. Vertical Detroit did not disappoint! The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We even got the Chef to come out, to congratulate him. I highly recommend this establishment. We had a great time."

"The smallest, most quaint places usually have great service and even better food. If you like gourmet cuisine you must try this place. It's located in the lower level of a hotel called The Ashley. They serves many types of wine. I believe I read they also have a wine store. The experience of it all was very nice. Happy hour does exist at this restaurant. Oh, and they do have a dress code.....??? I wore jeans with a nice blouse. The food was different but great! See pics...."
