"I’m normally down to clown, but this place was ripe for a visit from Pennywise. I showed up a little after 5. The open sign’s on, but the door is strangely locked. There’s a sign up to knock if the door is locked. A guy pushing a broom inside makes a flapping motion with his hand in response to me knocking on the door. Another guy with his inside-out basic black t-shirt unlocks the door. There’s yet another middle aged man sitting with his nose in his cell phone. I think, man, this place is busy! Nope, they’re all there for who knows what purpose. (I asked. I was told they like to “hang out.”) The barber is in a skin-tight shirt. She takes 5 minutes on a personal call. Then she and the inside-out t-shirt guy linger in back. The barber comes out smoking a cigarette. I hope it was good. When he leaves, she starts talking about why he doesn’t he stand up to his girlfriend. The barber then starts talking to me through the crack in the door—almost like peek-a-boo. Then she starts asking about my ride. Like, is she flirting? She seems like she’s in an altered state of mind. Finally, after nothing happens for 15 minutes — no hair cut or even me in a barbers chair — and the strange men are just soaking it in, I say this is too weird and bounced. I think she was really alarmed and blurted out, don’t go! I literally ran for the locked door. Did I mention I went in for a haircut? I feel lucky to be alive."
