"I’ve heard such great things about this business which is why I spent $750 on a package for my partner and I to enjoy and was highly shocked at the unorganized manner and inexperienced techs this business employs. Which is a bum because I’ve always dreamt of a relaxing spa day, and this was anything but that. Before I begin my review, I will note everyone was very nice… however kindness doesn’t make this expensive experience worthwhile to me…. First, we checked in and they told us to take a seat. Every time I’ve had a massage their first priority is to give us a form to fill out about our preferences. I had to ask for those forms and the receptionist goes “oh yeah! Here you go” First up: pedicure. At $69 + a $14 tip I was expecting this pedicure to be amazing! On the contrary, it was the laziest pedicure I’ve ever received. So much so I had to go home and finish my pedicure, cleaning the sides of my nails, clipping ingrown areas, etc. But again, the girl was very nice (though for that kind of money I shouldn’t have had to direct her on how to give a proper pedicure so I let it be). My partner felt the same way about his $61 + $12 tip pedicure. Worst pedicure he said he’s ever received. We had what was only supposed to be a 15 min break so my toes could properly dry before going onto the massage table which I understood… we waited 40 minutes before we were taken into the massages (there was apparently a scheduling error) On the massage form it asked “how often do you receive massages” and I put down 1-2 times per year and had “check-marked” the “relaxing massage” option. From what I read from further research on the internet after my massage, my experienced technician should understand what kind of pressure should be applied - obviously I don’t know because I have had 5 in my life and I trust the tech to know. I did let her know I have sciatic nerve pain in my lower back and she said she would be cognizant of that… she wasn’t. My back hurt so bad after that. But that was the tip of the iceberg. About 2 hours later my body felt like I had been hit by a car, and I could barely move. I had to take 4 Advil and a muscle relaxer and still was in pain. The next day (which was Christmas Eve and we had early plans) I woke up bawling over the excruciating pain my body was still in. I couldn’t believe what was supposed to be a relaxing day at the spa turned into one of the worst pains I had ever felt. So again, before big Christmas Eve family plans I had to take another muscle relaxer and 4 Advil. Thanks to all the medication I had to take due to the pain, I ended up having to leave our families house early and spent half the day sleeping. I will note though, my partner did say that was the best massage he had ever received… I’m glad he enjoyed his especially for the cost I paid. Lastly was the facial. No complaints about that. Though my girl had only been doing esthetician work for a couple months, she did a lovely job selecting the products and applying them."

"I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Everyone is very kind and professional, and they seem to really enjoy their craft. I have been to Sydney several time this year to cut and balayage color my hair, and this last time to get it styled for my wedding. She took all my poorly articulated ideas, and using fresh flowers and all, made exactly what I wanted for the big day. Then Miranda took over, and gave me full glam makeup. They were both a joy to work with during trials and the wedding day, making me feel confident and beautiful. I don’t remember the name of the lovely woman who helped my mom with hair and makeup, but she was awesome too. And their wedding coordinator. Two thumbs up. Highly recommend for all your bridal beauty needs!"

Karen has done my cut and color for years and not only do I have a great hair style when I leave but I feel relaxed and pampered by the entire team. "Loved my hair service with Jill Mock! Me: Caucasian Mom that just turned 40. Brown thick wavy hair that is starting to show some grays. I always get long layers to take weight out of my hair. Style simply using revlon air brush and parting to side, pinning the middle, or putting up in a bun. Newer to coloring services but expecting to be a regular now that I’m in my 40’s. I’ve lived all over the place including San Francisco, CA and Scottsdale, CA so I have definitely had to try out different stylists in my lifetime. We recently moved to Ann Arbor so here I am looking for someone new yet again. What I wanted: I used a natural instincts wash out color about 6 weeks ago but my hair just feels very dark these days. Looking to start covering the roots and adding some light and life to my hair. For the cut, I just needed a trim and shape this time around. Jill was fantastic! I felt comfortable with her right away. She asked good questions about my hair and what I was looking for and talked me through what she was going to do. She did a root color along with some foils and I was there for 2hrs including the cut and dry. I enjoyed the whole experience and love how the look turned out. It feels like my hair but better! I will definitely continue to use Jill for my cut and coloring as she is experienced, thoughtful, and takes pride in her work."
