It still serves as a place for people to glance at the phones tethered to their souls but wouldn’t you rather have people out and about rather than in isolation. Coffee Bark is the East village in Berkeley— designed with brash minimalism and a certain zen is required when we have the illusion of a world at our fingertips. The coffee is fantastic and doesn’t have that burnt flavor which made Starbucks king."
