"This was the best local “handicraft” shop in the Houghton area. This place is an amazing shop full of mostly hand made crafts, artistic pieces and a few souvenirs. The shop only allows locals from the neighboring area to display there arts and crafts there. There are over 125 local artists with pieces displayed for sale here. Something for everyone can be found here. From a ship made of driftwood to hand made wood carvings and crochet pieces to pictures to painted pieces to homemade candles to Yooperlites can be found here. All items are priced reasonably too. A Diamond in the rough souvenir “handicraft” shop. The employee there was very nice, informative and helpful too. Very worth your trip."

"What a wonderful find! Housed in a building built by the WPA in the 1930’s, this shop sells locals handcrafted items. These items are not your average made in China souvenirs; rather they are made with local materials by locals. Prices are very reasonable … but there’s a catch: CASH ONLY. They do not take credit cards. Don’t miss the opportunity to take home something special: rocks, jewelry, paintings, woodworking, sewn and knitted items. It’s a special place. And the staff is lovely."

"This place has the most beautiful grandma who works there! Inside joke with the employee lol...I am not sure if anyone reads these- But I stopped in here on a rainy day and the woman working here was so informative. I told her I was on a solo tent camping trip and she gave me suggestions of stuff to do near and not so near. If she sees this- Tell her I took her advice for checking things on my way through Wi! My mom also loved the rock I got her from here. Thank you! You were one of the most friendly people I met on my travels."
