"Stadt Garten is a GEM for wine lovers! The owner is beyond personable and has masterfully created a community space that feels more like a gathering hub than a business for business' sake. The interior decor is on par with the latest industry trends in a mostly humble way, but what stands out most is the service window, bonfire pit, and sun-streaked gated outdoor space—ideal for dog parents to take a load off and locals to enjoy nice weather. This is the type of environment that reminds you of the togetherness, connectivity, and friendship a good bottle of wine can bring. If that's not enough, the rotation of partnerships and special events will keep you coming back. Plus, despite not giving the energy of a selfie haven (or being the type of place that would attract such a crowd—it feels more quirky-cool, like the hipster indie kid who was truly doing him and had no idea he inspired an entire Tumblr era of kids), the bathroom (odd spot, but IYKYK) is a great selfie spot once the wine has you feeling yourself. This is one of the only places I know of locally for a true taste of Germanic cultural references, products, and influences."

"My husband and I discovered Stadt last year while walking our dog in midtown, and it immediately became one of our happy places. We love getting a cold bottle of Riesling to enjoy on the patio or porch during the summer with our cockapoo Toby, and is also our go-to wine shop when buying wine for home. Jared, Rebekka, and Maya have all been lovely hosts. You’ll love it, especially if you enjoy high quality, complex German/Alsatian wines with great minerality."

"Beautiful, relaxed and approachable outdoor space to enjoy unique wine without any expectations that you are knowledgeable about wine. The prices for bottles are completely reasonable and leave you a feeling of value. Jared and the staff are happy and proud to make suggestions, since the wine they serve isn’t what (in my experience) is typically seen on menus. Ask for a fizzy Pet Nat! I’ll be curious to see how things work in the winter, because the outdoor space can host 75(?) guests, where indoors is small."

"Amazing selection of German wines and beers with many things you can't find anywhere else in the city. Cozy indoor space in the winter with a large outdoor patio perfect for the warmer months. It's an unpretentious wine buying experience. No matter your familiarity with wine or beer Jarred will guide you through the selection to pick out exactly what you're looking for or something new and interesting to try."

"A great place for a wine, a beer, or a shorle of sorts. Their beer and wine list is extensive and focused on all things German. I’m going to check it out in the spring/summer when it’s warmer. A great place!"
