"The young lady at the counter was great. The food.....dry. The chicken tacos were so extremely dry that some pieces were literally crunchy like a chip. I was pulling small 100% black burnt chunks out and only ended up eating 1 of the tacos. All 6 tamales got thrown away. They were soggy and disgusting. The quesadilla was about the only good thing that we ordered."
"Great little spot for authentic Mexican food with some unique and refreshing twist. I ordered the tacos which also came with freshly sliced radishes and other veggies in the container. Very cool! The guac is delicious! It was fresh and very chunky as it should be. The also sell misc grocery items and candy."
"Please know that this restaurant is opens seasonally. During summer days they cater, winter time is when they are open. If you live in Monroe Mi and think you have tried authentic food in this small town, please reconsider and stop by Nena's. I am 2 days from leaving Monroe and I couldn't be more happy to have found the most authentic mexican restaurant in town. Chicken enchiladas and chicken tamales are delicious, served with authentic homemade beans and rice. The kitchen aroma in the small bodega gets you ready to eat! Must try!"
