"If you are looking for a place to enjoy authentic and delicious Mexican food, look no further than Amaya's. Hands down the best food in Monroe, MI. Family-owned, with an attentive owner working just as hard as the rest of his team. Everyone at Amaya's was friendly and welcoming, the margaritas were out of this world, and the food was amazing. Flavorful and fresh. We will absolutely be back soon."

"Great food!! Service was good, until it wasn’t. We were seated at approximately 6pm. Ordered shortly after. At 6:27pm, after just receiving our meals, We were approached by staff and told that the table we were at was reserved and that we would need to leave in 33 minutes, but not to rush. At 15 minutes, again, we were told that we have 15 minutes left, but no rush. We questioned this as we were not told when we were seated that the table we were seated at was reserved and that we would only be allowed to stay for a limited time. The reply was “oh”. No apology or attempt to resolve the situation. We asked if we could sit somewhere else and they said if something opens up at the bar. That didn’t happen and at this point we felt like we were of less value than someone who made a reservation, so we left. It was very disappointing, while we all would have been understanding of reservations- this should have been communicated to us prior to being seated so we could have made the decision to stay or go elsewhere for the night."

"Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Nice, quiet, historical looking building. The house margaritas where delicious, however a tad bit expensive for my taste @$9 ea. The wild mushroom tostada, I haven't seen anywhere before, was so unique and tasty! I could of eaten 10 of them! But the beef street tacos lacked in depth and flavor. Also the Guacamole and sour cream were extra and weren't worth it, they didn't let us know that when they asked if we wanted it. But seriously- over all - I highly recommend it!!!! (I'm just a cheapo)"

"I have not had a bad meal here ever. This is our go to for Mexican. The chips, salsa and the cheese dip are excellent. Mamas tacos (not on the menu) but you can ask for them and can mix up flavors to what you want, Chicken, beef, or pork. The street style tacos are the best I’ve had and the Mexican pizza….yummm. When available in summer RIBS AND STREET CORN are the best! The owner Tino, is so nice and always comes to say hello."
