"Dr. Kafri lacks any integrity as an oncologist, has no idea what ethics are and is a coward of a man. He believes his only job is to put a formula one the white board. He does not follow through on what he promises you and has no network of oncology specialists or any specialist for that matter. Dr. Karfi's ego and blase attitude toward details and honesty, costs patients their best treatment options to beat the odds. There is a complete lack of communication within the so-called multidisciplinary team and management of medical records within the center is laughable. Please get a second and third opinion before you decide to be treated by him or at the Van Elslander Cancer Center. Please don't do it, there are a lot of doctors out there that will be honest with you and fight for you, Dr. Kafri will not."

"Best doctor I have ever encountered! Always tended to my needs and was flexible to accommodate my schedule, even though he is one of the busiest physicians out there. Definitely recommend."

"Worst Dr ever. He Is never there for my appointments. Even when I make sure to make my appointments at the END OF THE MONTH, when he is in the office. If you work a real job and can't make it there before 3:45 GOOD LUCK! He doesn't care. Won't stay late for 1 appointment EVERY 90 DAYS! You get to lose money to pay money. While he makes ALL THE MONEY of our illness.Would never recommend"

"My first two visits last year were ok. The fellows ran some test for common autoimmune disorders, was told to follow up in 6 months. Two weeks out, this morning I call to see if I could have new blood work drawn and a copper test so it's ready for my next appointment. Spoke with the nurse Mary, who seemed kind at first, but she failed to hang up the phone and decided to talk badly if me. She proceeds to tell another nurse that "I just want to be sick, a hypochondriac, and doesn't know why I don't bother my primary care." Needless to say, I will be canceling my appointment and looking for a hematologist with a respectful staff. One of the many reasons I left working for Ascension St. John."

"I met Dr. Kafri when my dad was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer in 2017. My dad is still alive and doing very well thanks to the outstanding care he received from Dr. Kafri and the fellow working with him at the time. It was a hard regimen of chemo, radiation, and surgery- one I doubted he would survive. Dr. Kafri showed his true professionalism when his fellow suggested a specific treatment regimen that was somewhat different than he initially proposed. The fellow cited specific studies that supported his recommendation and Dr. Kafri was open to the idea. His ability to be open to other colleagues, as well as his willingness to listen to my many questions about whether treatment was even worth it given dad’s history showed he was the best physician to have for my dad. Today dad is enjoying retirement and shows no evidence of cancer. The office staff and nurses are always so considerate and helpful when I call with questions or need medication refills."
