"My review was 5 stars. Im now facing termination from job of 28 years. Unicare received the necessary paperwork Friday (January 12),but the doctor's portion wasn't filled out or signed. It has been over a month since being admitted into their hospital. It looks like I'll have to take drastic action against this facility, but of course I don't want to force people to do their job. The really sad part is this isn't helping my treatment. Some doctors there were phenomenal. This place was filled with love on the 3rd floor, even with all the cuts by the state of Michigan years ago. Please consider that no one wants to be there, but most all of workers love working there. That should tell you a lot. I'm sure most people who want to leave a 5 star review are possibly embarrassed to put their name out there publicly. Dr. Sandier comes with very high regard, so I trust him and my medicines are perfect now. I'm excited that I'm finally being treated properly for my anxiety. My head feels so clear and focused after living all my life without treatment of forty-seven years for ADHD. Also many things were taken care of like my ACID Reflex, cracked skin from dryness, and many people there knew that Xanax should never be prescribed for someone with ADHD. The group therapy was excellent too. It will be what you make of it. Dr. Apple is horrible from what ive seen and he will probably get sued sometime soon. I'd be suing him for multiple things that I saw a mile away. He's probably responsible for almost half of the negative reviews. The common thing I heard about him was the "Cash Cow" theory. He is supposedly only about the Benjamins. I did witness his bedside manners and that's why he might have regrets soon, if he doesn't change rapidly. The hospital should consider making Dr. Sandier a full time position for only 40+ hours a week. Everyone I spoke with on the 3rd floor wished they had Sandier instead of Apple. The entire staff is amazing for what is a tough environment. I really feel for anyone working there with their own problems. Special shout out to P.A. Assistant Gina and Dr. Garmo for being excellent care givers. They were the two I didn't list when praising special staff members like Ladonna before Madonn on my in house review. Employee of the year: Jermmy (about 100 days of seniority Employee of the decade: Nańi (8 years) Employee of the quarter century is Marie (15-18 years) in my own opinion). She comes in regularly and I see how great she is when treated right. I've apologized to her and 2 dozen ¼lbs cookies from Levain bakery are heading there now for her as my restitution for falsely presuming she had a problem with me for being white/whatever else I am. I saw her laughing with other white people and trusting them, so I understand that I was a problem for her. I'm sorry, truly sorry for wrong ing you! John Sims (Szymacha)"

"Beaumont Taylor lied said I was suicidal to get me there. Staff overworked underpaid under trained. The damage the hypocritical false hood of putting men to an inhumane standard of no feelings over work your pride for not enough to scrape by is a HUGE thing people need to consider. I didn't take meds prescribed cause the 1st doc lied and I didn't need medication for that but I have other symptoms being ignored cause of that type of cop out"

"I don't know if the people who are leaving "good" reviews are, maybe, actually employees of this place, or somehow associated professionally with the Behavioral Center? What I DO know is: this place is a joke. Absolute joke. Ever single interaction has been difficult, unfruitful, and mostly a waste of everyone's time. Calling in to get any information has been is impossible (yes, they are authorized to speak with me about my loved one being held in there). Still no visiting due to Corona. Seriously? State Prisons now allow visiting, yet this place doesn't? I dropped off some personal items (all were allowable) yet my loved didn't receive ANY of it, even though I wrote her name on the bag and books, she still never received any of it. To top it off, the woman who stated she would ensure my loved one received the items, identified herself as a "Supervisor", white coat, and all. (Broken leg, rolling around the place on her little wheeled cart that supported her leg, short blonde hair, white, with blue eyes)."

"I was a voluntary admission from the crisis center so my experience maybe is a little different. I didn't have a choice in which hospital I was sent to but I'm glad it was this one. I arrived at 4 in the morning and was greeted by the nicest technician and most of the staff was very kind. The doctor was friendly but very rushed. He over-medicated me at first to the point where I was almost falling over from dizziness, but when I brought it up he actually listened to me and decreased my dose. The 2nd floor has not been remodeled so it is pretty dated. I would have liked to be able to go outside and get some fresh air. The food was decent. They respected my religious beliefs (I am a practicing Muslim) and they let me keep my prayer rug and wear my hijab. They helped save my life in a time of crisis. Thank you!"

"Would give no star rating, but you can't post without at least one. The one star is dedicated to the facility. The only 3 helpful and pleasant people were the receptionist, nurse Vinita, and nurse Gary(5 stars for them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) on the 2nd floor. The social worker Nicole spoke with me once and never followed up again. I had to physically come up to the facility and speak with her over the phone, because a nurse stated my loved one would we dc'd on Monday and it was a Friday afternoon. Not one person from the facility called to discuss the dc plan. They scheduled bogus appointments in the dc plan, stating that a follow up with his treatment center was scheduled for the following Monday at 9 a.m. I later found out that no such appointments had been made. There was one Asian and one African nurse(this how my loved one described them to me) on day shift that were very rude, short, and quiet frankly lazy. When you asked for info it was "I don't know". Never let me find out or check for you. The follow through and team approach is scattered and unprofessional. There is very little transparency, and you would think it would be more, considering they will not let you visit your loved ones. My loved one did not slip through the cracks like so many vulnerable people do. They have family who are very concerned about their wellbeing and treatment when in a facility. I know most places aren't the best and its a shame, because people are supposed to be there to help. Needless to say I would not recommend this facility. They will stress you out more, with their inadequacy , on top of your loved one needing treatment."
