"My dog is five years old. Up until a few months ago, I only took him to Rachel for grooming. I followed her across locations and remained loyal because she did a really good job. Unfortunately, that took a drastic turn during our last visit. Normally, my dog is finished with his appt within 3hrs and Rachel would call me 30 mins or so before he's ready. Well, during his last visit, I noticed he had been there well over 4 hours. I knew she'd be closing soon and I didn't want to hold up her Saturday. I tried calling and texted to check in to see if he was ready, no answer. After he'd been there for 4 hrs, I decided to go and check in. "Maybe she's too busy to look at her phone...", I thought. Either way, I figured being early would be better than coming late. When I arrived, my dog was getting blow dried. He was excited to see me but Rachel made it CRYSTAL CLEAR that she was not. She rudely told me to GET OUT stating that I was a distraction. She then follows up with a nasty text noting how my she would have called me when he was ready and to "...not ever do that again". I am still impressed with myself as I simply replied, "Okay, it won't happen again". I knew my business with her was done and just needed to keep the peace until I picked up my dog. By the time my dog was actually ready, she sent another text to apologize. When I arrived, she said she lost track of time, was short staffed and "...didn't even have lunch". No apologies in person, just an attempt to justify unruly behavior. The impact of her rude, condescending, inappropriate response to me is cemented in my mind. It doesnt help that I've ignored this behavior from her in the past. I see other comments mentioning similar behavior. It's my hope that Rachel gets the support (staff and mental) she needs to effectively run the business. It sucks finding a new groomer after almost 5 years but it'll be well worth the journey. "I take both my dogs scooter and miggy to get groomed once a month. Rachel and Steven are great with both of them. Steven gives miggy a green Mohawk and Rachel handles scooter with such care. My dogs love the time of the month I take them to the groom room. It's like they know they are going to get pampered."

"I'm really disappointed with the experience I just had with the Groom Room. I was so excited to find a groomer that was so close to my house, but the customer service that I received this morning from Rachel at the Groom Room made me uncomfortable to bring my dog back. I called in this morning because I received no reminder of my appointment that I scheduled months ago. I received no answer, so I was not planning to go. Rachel called me 15 minutes before the appointment and admitted she did not put the appointment in the computer, but it was in the books so I should come on down. I tried to shuffle and get to the appointment, but there is a snow storm and I do not have a car. I tried to call back before the appointment to explain the situation, but again, received no answer. Rachel called me back 30 minutes later with a massive attitude and said she's charging me with a late fee. I even offered to find a way to bring him in, and her attitude increased to the point that she was cursing at my sister and I as we tried to work it out. Her attitude was severe to the point that I would be worried she'd take her vendetta against me out on my dog if I brought him back. I do not recommend this place."

"Village Groom Room is the best! I’ve been taking my pups to Rachel for years. She truly is the best at grooming any kind of dog. She loves them all like they are her own! I wouldn’t go anywhere else."
