Spa at Harbor Shores

"The Spa at Harbor Shores mostly caters to tourists and people here for golfing tournaments. It has a welcoming vibe and relaxing room for you to sit in before a massage with a robe and flip flops. If you're looking for a basic, superficial massage, this is an okay place to go. However, I would not recommend the "deep tissue" massage because it is the same as a basic massage. There are at least three other massage therapy businesses/individuals in the area who offer higher-quality massages that are at least $20-30 cheaper. Essentially, you can get a better massage at a better price at several other places locally but if you want that spa atmosphere, this is an okay place. I spoke up about the quality of my deep tissue massage and was told I didn't understand what deep tissue was... despite having them on a monthly basis in my 20s to help with headaches. Instead of using more pressure or targeting muscles (my shoulder muscles were completely ignored and my problem areas I told her about were barely touched), she just went faster which made it even less enjoyable. For someone with "20 years experience" I would expect more muscle targeting (or at least a little) during deep tissue. They were nice and switched my massage to a "custom," but still overpriced and not top-quality. I waited months to book this massage and have time to myself away from kids and it honestly just wrecked my relaxing day - not just because of the quality but because I was made to feel it was my fault the massage was bad."

"Spent an amazing day here with my sister-in-law to celebrate her citizenship. The staff were knowledgeable of why we were there and truly seemed interested in it. The treatments were good and the products used smelled amazing! The best part was that they didn't try to push products on you before, during, or after treatment."

"We went in for a couples massage and enjoyed it, more of a relaxing experience not really a deep tissue/therapeutic massage but very enjoyable nonetheless. Can't give 5 stars for two reasons. First, we were invited to arrive 30 minutes early to enjoy the infrared sauna and other amenities but when we got there we were told that they were not available to us and had to wait in the reception area. Second, we scheduled a couples massage and assumed we would be in the same room but we were not. When we asked we were told that they were scheduled at the same time but not available to have us in the same room. This is not a big deal, just wish we would have been informed when we scheduled. Overall, I would recommend and return."

"We took my Sister here for her pre-wedding beauty day. We started with the 50 minute massages and all agree it was one of the best we ever had. We also booked the mani/pedi. I regularly get these at a spa by my house, this was the worst I ever had! The nail tech told us to use a polish she claimed was as good as no chip. My polish had chipped off by the rehearsal dinner. My feet were scrubbed with a nail buffer, and the polish was barely in the lines. When it came time to pay, the gratuity was already added on at 20%. I would of preferred to give all the tip to our massage therapist as the nail tech would have received much less. Putting the gratuity on automatically at a salon puts people in a very uncomfortable position and should not be assumed. I would go back only for a massage, my fingers and toes will go elsewhere. My sister had to paint her own nails that night before her wedding because all hers was chipped off too. Terrible nails!"
