Tru by Hilton Stevensville St. Joseph

"I have stayed here a few times. The location is convenient, right off of the freeway, and there are plenty of restaurants and gas stations nearby to choose from. Cute little town. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend requesting a room on the other side of the freeway. I have taken pictures showing both of my rooms. One on each side of the hotel. The beds were rock hard, in my opinion, and I needed to bring a memory foam mat inside to add comfort. If you like a firm bed, you will get one here, but if you are looking for something soft to fall into, you may need to bring added support. The manager was extremely friendly, and he assisted me with getting into my room. However, there was a sour mood that my wife got greeted with in the morning from one of the ladies who cleans the breakfast area. My daughter had slept in (we have had a long, hard trip), and my wife wanted to go down to get her some cereal. She noticed that the breakfast was closing up, so she asked if it would be alright to buy some milk if she needed to so my child could eat. The lady snapped at my wife and said, "don't you know breakfast ends at 9?!" As she was sitting down eating her own breakfast. She also made rude remarks about how and when she needed to clean up to my wife. The time was about 9:40, and last time we stayed there, breakfast ended at 10am, so we thought it was still going on. How are we expected to know what the breakfast hours are and that they change throughout the week? Mind you, you can always check your key card envelope as it has that information on there, but when you have a hungry, tired toddler and you are half awake yourself from long travels, you would expect someone to be a little more kind in their approach to a frequently returning customer to the Hilton and Hampton hotels. Overall, it was a pleasant stay."

"LOVE this hotel! Rooms are well designed and clean, I also liked the soaps they use. Front desk, Pam, was super friendly and welcoming. Large unique lobby with a nice selection of hot beverages available anytime and free breakfast. Computer and gym available for use, as well as an indoor pool. Price was competitive at only $99+tax for either king or queen. I saw they are also pet friendly, so that's cool if you are traveling with your dog. 10/10 would definitely recommend!"

"Our stay at the Tru was not terrible but it also wasn’t super fantastic, we only stayed for one night though so it was perfectly fine for that. The hotel itself is very nice! The lobby has a friendly atmosphere, there is a pool and a nice gym. The breakfast had a good variety of things to choose from. There’s lots of places near and around the hotel to choose for eating; breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a Cracker Barrel almost right next door, a Texas Road House just down the road, and even McDonals and Burger King for the quick and easy or late night snacks. The beds and pillows were actually very comfy! We didn’t have a problem getting situated to sleep. The rooms were mostly clean; our bathroom had toilet paper that had been left in the toilet which was not a good surprise when going to use the bathroom. Where our room was located there was LOTS of road noise, but that’s expected as it’s right off the highway. We also had to shower in cold water as it would not get warm."

"Nice clean hotel with the Tru touches. I'm not sure how well the Tru model will age, but it's nice enough for now. Breakfast was quite good, and all the staff were very friendly. The only downside is the location as it's noisy all the time with the highway right there. I'm not sure if there are other contributing factors, but it often sounded like there was a train coming by."
