Lakeside Cabins Resort

"The Halloween events, which were best costume, trick or treating, and ghost story walk through the campground, made what my wife called a hallmark setting. Very casual, a great family weekend."

"We stayed at Lakeside Cabins Resort, cabin P-25, for three nights while we participated in the Apple Cider Century bike ride. We arrived after 5 pm and the cabin was ready for us when we arrived. The cabins are very cute! We loved the huge screened porch, the hammock and the fire pit out front. We were a bit disappointed that we couldn't get any reception on the porch TV. I would suggest they add a ROKU (or something similar) to that TV or upgrade to a TV you could "cast" to. The shower floor was pretty slippery and the glass shower doors seemed to be missing something along the bottom to hold them in place...we just needed to be careful in the shower. The kitchen had most items we needed, except a can opener and corkscrew. Because we arrive late and left early, we never really interacted with the office staff. But communications before and after the trip were good. The resort is very beautiful and has lots of amenities. It's also in a great location to visit Warren Dunes State Park, and several nice nearby towns. I would stay here again."

"This was our first time at Lakeside Cabins Resort and it was fantastic. The absolute perfect place for families. Between the wonderful amenities provided at the resort (pools, kayaks/paddleboards, archery, etc.) and the short distance to multiple Lake Michigan beaches, there was always something to do. And for the times we wanted to do nothing, the cabin was perfect. We were there during the hottest day of the year, and the cabin stayed perfectly cool. And the screened-in deck on our cabin was probably our favorite part. So much room to space out and hang. We are already planning on booking for a full week next summer!"

"was really looking forward to this time away with my family as I just completed chemotherapy and radiation treatments a couple of months ago. This resort looked just like the place for us to get away, relax, and enjoy each other. Upon arrival, we found the cabin dirty. We did not report this as it was closing time for the office. I vacuumed and wiped down everything. The cabin also had a must smell. We were able to air it out and bought air fresheners. We really wanted this trip to work for us. My son was able to enjoy the trailers for running and my youngest enjoyed the pond and kayaks. However, on our 3rd night there was a terrible rain storm. The rain came in through the heating and cooling unit. We spent a large amount of the night mopping the mess up and reassuring our children that we were safe. We decided not to stay as the kids were upset and no longer enjoying the time. I was told the owner would contact me. I emailed and called twice before I got the owner on the phone. They only refunded the night the rain flooded the floor, not the other 6 nights we did not stay. They had no compassion for my situation or my children’s upset. All I wanted was a peaceful, relaxing getaway after the awful 9 months my family endured during my illness. The cabins need to be kept up more and the owners need to be more understanding of other’s life events. Not everything is about making money. Even half the refund would have gone along way with us after having lost money to my treatment and the disappointment of this trip"
