"This is a locally owned and operated motel and a very lovely place to stay. I came to Hudson to visit family and reserved a room here. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room sizes are what you would expect from a motel, the quality of the room feels more like a small lakeside cabin. They have done a great job to make the rooms feel like a second home and are very clean! I also want to mention that there is area around the rooms to sit and spend evenings outside and enjoy the beautiful country side."
"I stayed here after a long drive on my way to school a little while ago. I loved it. Very friendly service, I immediately felt welcomed. I never expect much from motels, I'm just looking for a roof and a bed. The room exceeded my expectations; clean, homey decorations, and I loved the fact that there was a sheet with local restaurant numbers and if they delivered. I felt super safe and got a good night's rest"
"Wonderful gem of a place. If you are looking for luxury this might not be for you, but if you want an authentic experience it's a great place to stop! Owners are great to work with, this roadside motel has been extremely well cared for. Expect a motel from the 1950s but with as much care and comfort as you could want. The rooms are small and the showers even smaller, but it's like stepping into the 1950s without sacrificing our comforts like wifi, air conditioning, and cable tv. Beds are decent and bedding is very high quality. Rooms have no odor you might expect from an older building. I love that I can crack the windows and get a cross breeze with fresh air. The porches are cute and well decorated, overall it was a wonderful experience staying at sunset acres!"
"What motor lodging used to be, quaint, clean friendly and very enjoyable. Wished we could stay longer. Best stay of our 10 thousand mile month long retirement vacation .Definitely 5 stars in our heart."
"We stayed at Sunset acres when our power was out for several days . Teresa is so gracious and welcoming. She goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at home. My husband enjoyed having a morning coffee with Kevin and shooting the breeze. The room was perfect. There was even a little dog that greeted us and accompanied us to our room door:) This is a wonderful place to stay. Can’t thank you enough for taking us in and treating us so well."
