"LADIES THIS IS NOT FOR YOU!! People who enjoy sleep. This is not for you. My wife and I just wanted a place to set up a tent and this place happened to be LGBT friendly so we were all about it. We saw that there were various events throughout the weekend but we weren't super interested in socializing as we had other plans in town. We picked a camping spot with an electric outlet but the outlet was 3 sites down. Not sure why we were charged extra for that. The campgrounds: really rough. It smelled like a barn on Saturday morning. Literally smelled like poop! I felt so gross and couldn't wait to shower. But the showers are gross too. Everything is so expensive. Sleep: I was so tired Friday night and wasn't expecting our campsite to be the corner of all the chaos. Someone peed in front of our tent. People drinking and driving golf carts until the wee hours of the morning. Parties until the morning. We asked to be put in the back camping site and the put us right up front. We had to grab our things and drive to a rest stop to sleep for the night because we were SO UNCOMFORTABLE. And it was insanely loud. This is more for gay men than "lgbtq+" We unfortunately had to return in the morning to tear down the tent and we just threw it in the garbage because it was so gross. Couldn't get home fast enough"

"We camped at Campit for the first time this Labor Day Weekend and we absolutely loved it!! The grounds are beautiful with plenty to do to stay entertained and relaxed. The camp store is well stocked so it was easy to get things we needed without leaving the grounds. We were thrilled to see vegan food options at the pool - the tot-chos and breakfast burritos were delicious!! We’re already looking forward to our next visit!!"

"Honestly this was our second visit. I had a decent time the first time back in like 2016/17? This year was a bummer. They obviously cater to the weekend crowds but going during the week. There was no staff or service at all. We couldn’t get fire wood the first night because the attendant left early. Store was never open. Someone was at the campsite next door and would scream across if you needed anything. The cabins are bare basic and uncomfortable after the second night. But what really annoyed me was the constant amount of people walking through our campsite . Very little in terms of friendliness . Just not worth it this year. Won’t be back You either live there during the summer or have a decent time during the weekend events I guess ."

"My husband and I just returned from our first visit here and had so much fun we already booked a visit for next year. It was very laid back and friendly, campers and staff were very welcome. There was very little cliquishness, and while a good deal of the campers were men there were also a sizable number of women there as well that weekend, which I consider a positive thing. The Saturday night entertainment was frankly better than I was expecting at a campground out in rural western Michigan. About the only thing I'd complain about is that I wish the camp website was a little better organized and had more information about various services on-site—I learned when we got home that the camp has an app, I'd definitely recommend installing that before your trip, there's stuff in it that isn't on the website. The surrounding area has a ton of wineries, "pick your own" farms, and produce stands. Saugatuck is about a ten minute drive away, and while it's definitely a tourist town has an abundance of amazing restaurants and shops. Quite honestly one of the most relaxing weekends I've ever had, and I'd absolutely recommend Campit."
