"My fiancee and I came here in August of 2018 and we came to visit her family and to get married. This is the worst hotel/motel I have ever seen. Hallways stunk bad and was dirty with debris. Pool was not in the greatest condition. Now to our room, as you happened to walk in the room it smelled like mildew and carpets felt damp at all times. Furniture was in bad shape. Looked like they got the furniture from a rummage sale. Sheets had stains, even the mattress was clearly an old used mattress as it had very large brown stains. We also found BED BUGS!!!!! Our 2yr old daughter was bitten as well. The shower didnt work to great, would go from nice and warm to super scolding hot frequently. My parents had their own room here as well and it was just as bad. Do not ever consider this place. Stay far away!!!! On a side note, we did get married on August 25, 2018 in her parents church where they got married!!!"

"I couldn’t even find this place in google maps, and when your arrived it looked abandoned and very sketchy, when we got to our room, it had an uneven floor so stuff would fall off of the table easily, our card didn’t work the second night we stayed here, felt insecure and was sketchy. There are only a handful of TV stations and the air conditioner didn’t work properly half the time. The beds were not bad but any hotel should still make sure it looks alright. I won’t even get into the hallways, not sanitary at all, overall pretty disappointed"

"Listen to the other reviews, do yourself a favor, and stay elsewhere. The positives? Nobody got bedbugs, nobody got robbed. The wifi worked ok and so did the black-out curtains. The pool and jacuzzi were half decent. BUT: My experience echoed those of others here: dirty carpets (stained, unvacuumed), constantly malfunctioning keycards (2x daily), a toilet with a tank that wouldn't fill, lumpy pillows, everything still smells like smoke, old cig burns on bathroom sink and other places, room didn't have a PHONE, pillows lumpy, light bulbs stolen out of friend's room. Dirty lobby/pool restrooms. NO breakfast and NO refunds. Listen, people going thru hard times live in this motel and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But for the lack of quality highlighted above a room here should absolutely not cost $80. Have I stayed worse places? YES. But not at this price point. The only good thing I can say about Mash, the brand-new owner ("

"I booked this room without reading reviews. That was my first mistake. We got this hotel because we wanted to save a little extra money because we were going to Michigan Adventures. Which is about a 20 minute drive from this hotel. So the saying goes you get what you pay for. When we arrived I thought we arrived to an an abandoned building. The outside looked very run down. The surrounding area is run down with other motel/hotels put of business. When I checked in the lady at the desk was very friendly. She told me that the hotel is under new owner ship now and they are in the middle of a remodel. That made me a feel a little better. Our room was ok. Beds and pillows not comfortable and a little outdated but smelled of fresh paint. So I assume they are trying to fix it up. As far as the location of put the word "ghetto" and I would also say a local area for booked a to hang out. Maybe not at this hotel but across the street. They do have a pool our family didn't use it but it looked tiny. We didn't have any problems but of you are lucky and not a fan of staying in a "ghetto" area I don't recommend staying here. I'm sure the new owners could fix it up to be a nice place but you can't fix the surrounding location."

"Family went here to stay while on a trip to MI Adventures. Wow this place is a Pit hole. 1st room had nastiness on bed, smelled like drugs. and nothing worked. they changed us to another room and that one the water did not work. looks like someone bought the place to try and fix but they are far from it. The listing and photos are nowhere near what t his place is like. We left and went somewhere else. Cannot get a refund but I could not let my family stay here. STAY AWAY."
