"Can I give more than 5 stars? I have stayed here at Best Bear about seven different times. I guess if I need more to say besides I've been there seven times , I travel to Michigan for just about all major holidays to spend with my family in the area and wouldn't choose anywhere else. Amazing rooms for me and all my kids! Which you definitely don't get with a hotel! The pros: *Very beautiful location especially must see covered in snow. *Super easy and flexible check in. ( I didn't need to interact or go out of my way to check in which is a huge plus when traveling for 16 hours with 6 kids) *Pet friendly-need I say more? *Beautiful cabins- I have stayed in 4 different cabins and they were all just as nice as each other. *The owners take extra care of the cabins to ensure the cleanliness each time! *There's always a great check-in and check-out instructions and always many extras like popcorn , and coffee already at the cabins! *And last but not least the owners are absolutely the sweetest! I have had a few interactions with Carrie and she is literally the nicest woman ever! The cons: Honestly I can't think of any cons. 10/10 recommended!"

"I stayed in a cabin. Inside the cabin was fine. No indoor plumbing sucks, but I understand that’s not advertised. However, it is a LOT of people sharing just 2 outhouses. Super inconvenient as you can’t even use the restroom when you need to go. The “hot water” advertised is a scam. First of all you have to have quarters to get it to “work”. Never worked once. It was the coldest water I’ve ever felt. I did everything they said to get it to work. Not a good experience."

"Seriously, it was the best camping experience we've ever had! Matt and Carrie went out of their way to accommodate our late arrival. Our beds were clean, the cabin was exquisite. I can't complain about anything because this place is the best around! Best Bear is definitely the best place around. If you need a place to stay in a hurry, give them a call. You won't regret it. We came here because we lost power at home and we felt like we were just at another home. Family is always our top priority, we felt like family here. You will too."

"This is a wonderful campground and our group is excited to visit again in the future. The staff was warm, welcoming and wonderful. They were quick to wave and say hi to everyone as they passed by. It really felt like a wonderful community. We went on Memorial day weekend and there was activities to do every night! The sky was clear and beautiful for most nights and the stars were endless. I was pleased to see that many times throughout the day they were spraying water onto the dirt road to keep the dust down! That was just a nice touch. You can order wood and have it delivered right to your site. Another bonus was the tables at each site were nice and new, plastic so there were no splinters! Some things that were not as great was there is a lack of shade, it was a hot weekend and we did not have a place to retreat at our site. The other thing was it was very dusty! But they are doing stuff to combat that. Final note is that we had to be a weekend or two before they opened up their beautiful new barn / event center at the front of the campground. I wish we could have seen it! But it was talked about and we hope to go back and check out the progress."
