"This had been a great place to stay, and it has been run more as a family operation. Great motel owner, and a very friendly host. She goes out of her way to accommodate guests. "But" this is the last visit under her ownership. Sadly to say (for us) she is retiring, and had sold the motel. We met the new owner today, and it seems to be going the way of strictly a business. We'll have to see how the transition goes, and if it will stay so reasonable as before."
"Stayed here on a whim while on a MC trip. All other places in town were sold out. The lady who owned it was super nice. It’s only about 2 mins ride north of town. It’s dated but the place is clean and comfortable. I’d stay here again if In the area."
"Made a last minute decision to get away over the holiday,but was afraid wouldn't find any affordable place for just 1 night. Surprise! Found Edge of Town Motel in Sister Bay had a last minute cancellation. Affordable, pet loving and super nice folks that own the place. Our room was terrific too. Two comfortable beds, good shower and even a light breakfast option in the morning. Will definitely go back and would recommend to others who are budget conscious and don't need 5 stars to be happy.
