"Just what we needed .I always clean my room upon arrival at hotels and find some dirt or grime usually. Didn't here.nice clean rooms. No frills hotel sometimes Uta nit needed."

"We had a last minute stay for business with very few hotels with rooms available. So my expectations were low. This motel made me realize my low expectations can go lower. The room- very dated- pictures from the 1990’s - very dim lighting with burnt out bulbs. On top of the dim lighting the room is painted orange and burnt orange so it’s even darker. - Air conditioner was broke. It was so stuffy in the room we considered just driving 5.5 hours home. No one to tell because there’s no one there after 11, and if there was the phone didn’t work and had a big piece of blue tape over it I assume to try to block out the constantly flashing red light on it. - The bed- seems fine so far. Pillow situation is a little weird. They’re lumpy and look cheap and for some reason we only got 3. -The smell- It’s clearly an older motel and that’s what it smells like. Musty. - The trains are a thing. They don’t bother me, but there are frequent trains across the street. The air conditioner is the most problematic issue. It’s the end of September you wouldn’t think so, but the room was really stuffy after an unseasonably warm day. I would just say, if you are from somewhere where you are used to hotels with the crisp white bedding, modern decor, fresh clean smells and amenities like lights and air conditioning. This could be a little surprising. It is cheap though. If you’re on a tight budget this is right up your ally. All things considered, I could get past all the other stuff if the AC had worked so I could at least sleep."

Requests took longer than expected to be fulfilled, and the overall interaction with the staff felt somewhat indifferent. Improved customer service would have undoubtedly enhanced the overall experience and elevated this review to a higher rating. In summary, Lakeside Motor Inn offers a decent accommodation option with comfortable rooms and a convenient location. If you can overlook the service shortcomings and prioritize a clean and comfortable stay, it's a suitable choice for your lodging needs."

"Was just what we needed. Very good rate. Service was good. Room was clean. AC worked. Soaps were not great, no biggie, bring what ya like. Pillows and bed were very comfortable, better than more expensive places. No breakfast but no problem, there are close options. Would definitely stay again."

"The person at the front desk didn't speak English, so he called someone who was driving in a car and had terrible cell reception. Eventually, we were just handed a room key. The room was clean enough, but the shower/tub needed a good deep clean. The TV had cable, the air conditioning worked, and it was quiet. That's about it for good things. I won't be back."
