"It's like a cute little, rugged swedish experience. It's clean, the sheets are soft and they have real coffee pots and a little tupperware of real coffee. Can't complain!"

"Sleepy Hollow first of all had the nicest owner. He suggested I look at the room before purchase since there had been an animal in it. It didn't smell like an animal at all, but to my delight it had a masculine smell like my grandfather’s sweet smoking pipe (not cigarettes yuck). I felt like I had timetravelled to the late 1960s and to my granparents’ lake cabin. It’s decor from the 1950s and 60s, however, Room 118, was clean, had a firm comfortable bed, had beautiful kept grounds and we loved it. If you're not picky about an older style motel, the only thing that might be surprising is the permanent rust stain in the toilet and the water in the shower has a rusty smell as well. My rating: We are trying to stay under $100 per night and know we will be getting a 2-3 star hotel at that price. I expect an old building and old grounds and old furniture, a small continental breakfast and even a good old smell. What I don’t expect is uncleanliness, an old lumpy mattress, a room falling apart, unsafe conditions or rude staff. Thats how I got to the 5 stars."

"My wife and I stood here a couple weeks back when we did the Lake Michigan Circle Tour. We went from hotel to hotel, motel to motel trying to find a room on a Saturday night. We were not able to find anything until we drive in Sleepy Hollow Motel. They has one room and we took it because it was late at night and everything else was booked. The staff was friendly, and the price was not bad at $75 for the night. But the room needed major updating and new beds. One of the beds had a box spring that had some staines on it that my wife an I was questions if it was blood. Not something you want to see in a motel. Anyways we stood the night and got on our way first thing in the morning."

"Quaint, well kept..homey country feel...love the hand made quilt.. the nice owners and the bonus fire pit with wood and charcoal provided...just a lovely relaxing time and nice owners! Thank you sleepy hollow, we will be back!"
