"They do not give you a receipt and only except cash. There is no tracking so if they harm your pet they cannot be held responsible for the damage done to your pet. They state that they have a clean procedure, but my dog got a skin infection after going to Blue Ribbon. If you have older larger dogs then I recommend not to take them here."

"Horrible experience don't waste your time or money. My dog smelled worst than before I dropped him off. Groomer did not bath or cut my dogs nails. His haircut looked like a blind child cut his hair, choppy and uneven. Groomer never called to tell me when she was done and when I picked him up she kept me waiting in the lobby for 15 min while she finished another dog. I used this groomer because my normal one was out of town, never again. There are cheaper groomers that do better quality work, again don't waste your time or money."

"Horrible Experience with my 2 Schnauzers. I will be contacting a Lawyer and pressing charges against Blue Ribbon Grooming in Plainwell, MI. I took both my dogs there Friday Dec. 30th when I picked them up I found that the dogs looked like a 3year old took scissors to them. There Hair was Hacked off, Nails not Clipped, ears not plucked and she said the reason was that there hair was so long and it had mats, and the nails couldn't be cut because they would bleed. This was not my first time to the Groomers and no one has ever had a problem with anything with my Dogs. I took them to Seidle Vet &Groomers in Hastings that same day and they said my dogs seamed to have been roughed up and they had never seen such bad grooming, ever! Seidles cut there nails and it must of been a miracle because they trimmed quite a bit off and they didn't bleed at all, not one drop. A day after my oldest dogs eye looks like its been stabbed by Scissors and is almost all the way closed. I will take him to the vet on Monday if it doesn't get better. BLUE RIBBON GROOMING SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS AND I AM GOING TO MAKE SURE NO ONE ELSE IS PUT THROUGH THIS AND NO OTHER DOG GETS TREATED THE WAY MINE WERE. PS THE LADY SEAMED VERY NICE AND CARING AND MAYBE SHE DOES BUT SHE'S NOT A GROOMER!!!!!!"

"We were awfully disappointed in our experience at Blue Ribbon Pet Grooming. We took our 7 month old golden doodle in for a grooming. The groomer was told from the very first phone call that she had never been professionally groomed before. She had been accustomed to clippers though. Our breeder had been clipping her toenails since she was a baby, and we had NEVER had a problem doing it ourselves. Our first clue was when we were talking with the groomer, and she accepted three or four additional dogs to be groomed at the same time. When we returned for pick up, there were at least eight other dogs there and her comment was, she had never groomed a more curious dog. Long story short, now our dog has to be groomed with a muzzle and even with a muzzle, it takes two of us to trim her nails. Thanks for undoing six months of work. She books too many dogs to give your pet the TLC it needs."
