Beaumont Urgent Care 50964 Gratiot Avenue, Chesterfield, MI 48051

"My 6yo daughter and I were in this facility on 6 February for over 5 hours. 3.5 hours waiting to go to a room, and the next 1.5 to 2 hours spent in the room waiting/receiving care. It was told to me that there were 5 patients ahead of us and it would be quite a long wait. Understood. But waiting in the room for over 30 minutes to be seen, followed by multiple visits from technicians and providers was extremely unnecessary. A technician could have been inside the room at the same time as the provider to clean an ear, take nose swabs, and take throat swabs of my 6yo daughter. I find it to be extremely inefficient to have the provider leave, then wait “x” amount of time for technician, then technician leave, and wait “x” amount of time for the provider, multiple times. This happened with the ear clean, nose swab, and throat swab. At the end, we were told we have to wait for a culture of the throat swab to be sent out which could take a day or two for accurate results. We were told the rapid tests within the facility are not always correct. Understood. Essentially, we had left without a diagnosis and a prescription for an allergy medicine and an antibiotic “just in case” her fever didn’t reside by Thursday. I had also asked for a note to have for my daughter’s school to explain the multiple days of absence. After leaving the facility and looking at the discharge instructions, I noticed that there was no prescription sent for the allergy medicine and no note for my daughter’s school. I had to go back in the office to ask for a note from the provider and to double check that in fact, no prescription was sent over for the allergy medicine. Both of those items did end up being taken care of. Needless to say I was extremely proud of my daughter for sticking it out that long. I didn’t have any good answers for her as to what was going on as there were many tests ran, multiple people in and out, and an extremely long wait for anything to get taken care of. The staff was nice and caring however, the way everything was handled was extremely inefficient. We will not return to this urgent care facility."

"They are the BEST urgent care around. They are efficient, friendly, compassionate, and wonderful with young children. I’ve had to take my 1 year old there twice when her pediatrician wasn’t open, and they make me feel much better until I can talk to her regular doctor! It also helps that they put everything into her Beaumont Chart so that her doctor can see what was addressed, too. I will ALWAYS go here."

"It was a great experience. We were able to secure an appointment online. We also registered right online as well, so it was a quick transition to see the doctor. The receptionist was very nice. We did not wait long at all and the PA who we saw was very nice and great with my young son."

"The staff was awesome. I came in three minutes before closing time and they treated me like as if I was there early in the morning. They were all friendly, even though they had had a long day and they didn’t turn me away, even though it was so late. I always go to Chesterfield Urgent Care because they are quick and efficient and their staff is always wonderful."
