"Go to anybody else before her. Dr. Kelley misdiagnosed me as bipolar without an assessment, which is quite a serious diagnosis, forced me to weigh myself before every session despite me crying in front of her, telling her that I was trying to recover from an eating disorder, and weighing myself is very upsetting for me. She didn’t listen. She took great joy in referring to my antipsychotic medication as “major tranquilizers”. She enjoyed perpetuating the stigma around mental illness, wanted me to believe there’s something fundamentally wrong with me, and was constantly needling me about my shame to be in a position where I required the services of a psych professional. It seemed she did everything in her power and used her sense of authority and superiority complex to convince me I was crazy. She told me I was unstable whenever I confronted her directly about how she treated me. Absolutely no accountability. I’m now in therapy with a much better and kinder person, trying to undo the damage to my self esteem and self image that Dr. Kelley inflicted on me. I’m sorry that I ever gave her a penny."

"My first impression of Dr. Bobbe Kelley was wonderful! I had an on-line Zoom visit with her, an hour or so long intake interview. I found her very easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and I felt like I could be honest and not judged. I am confident we will have a great Dr. /Patient relationship."

"Dr. Kelley yelled at me regularly during my visits because I left home at 18 to pursue higher education at Michigan State University. She told me to stop attending school and move back home because my mother had been complaining about me to her. I started seeing Dr. Kelley because I had been attacked at work and was suffering depression from it. She misdiagnosed me as borderline and prescribed lamictal that caused me to suffer a stroke at 21 years old. I had a fear of doctors for several years after being yelled at and belittled by Dr. Kelley. I still have nightmares of this doctor. I was later diagnosed by a better doctor as having PTSD from the trauma I suffered at work and the traumatic abuse of Dr. Kelley. I continued with my schooling by using the resource center for persons with disabilities at Michigan State University and graduated 4 years later with a degree in chemical engineering. It was extremely difficult because I had to use screen reading software to read me my text books and I had to have other students take my notes for me in class because I had difficulty writing. I had difficulty navigating campus and had to use my cell phone GPS to find my classes. Please stay away from this doctor for your own safety. If I hadn't been so medically sick because of suffering a stroke and being on my own since 18, I would've contacted lawyers. I'm glad I was strong enough to survive."
