Saline Health Center

"I am so thankful (and impressed) by how we have been treated and cared for by everyone (including the call center at U of M). This was our 2nd visit to the office. Yesterday, my kids were sick and needed and urgent, same day appointment. We are in the process of switching care to U of M- Saline and have only had the chance to get 2 out of 3 kids scheduled to establish care. Of course, the 1 kid that wasn't able to also needed to be seen. I figured she wouldn't be able to get an urgent appointment because she wasn't a current patient. The call center suggested and helped me get her on the schedule and sent an urgent message to the office to see if they could see her for her sick visit. The office communicated SO QUICKLY with us, not only taking her but also changing the baby's appointment to later so they can be seen together (they were able to get us in within 1 hour of the call). The office utilizes isolation entrance/procedures for sick visits. I appreciate this SO much since we have a baby. We saw Dr. Nguyen. He was friendly, to the point and super patient with cranky kiddos. I felt listened to and understood. Great experiences. Previously we saw Dr. Alperin and had the same experience. Loved both They got us in and out within 20 minutes! I am so thankful for everyone at this office helping us make everything easier and more manageable for my family. They also have been so responsive to MyChart messages and quick to respond/get what I need done. I'm truly amazed (and I work for a health system). Thank you all so much!"

"Please please do not take your child to see Dr. Long. After expressing some concerns with her regarding our daughter we were shocked with her response. We were told to lock our daughter in her room at night (flip the lock on her door and lock it from the outside), take away her food if she throws it, but make her sit at the table and watch us eat (not offering her anything else to eat the remainder of the day) and not taking her to the bathroom during meal time because she is not to leave the table, if she has an accident after telling us she had to go we are to leave her sitting in it until we are done with our food. This is absolutely ridiculous and the office manager as well as head doctor agreed with her treatment plan. I will me transferring my daughters pedatric care away from u of m. Encouraging child neglectful behaviors is heartbreaking. This practice should be closed and investigated."

"I've been going here for a little over a year now, and it's been an absolute different experience from any doctor's office I'd been to previously. They were actually able to help me figure out my issues after previous other doctors would point towards my weight. I know I'm overweight, but I'm perfectly healthy from a metabolic standpoint. My doctor disregarded that and actually asked about having me test for Celiac's disease, something I'd not heard of at the time. Go figure, she was right. Something no other doctor even CONSIDERED me having for the past 5+ years. Even my experiences with the nurse practitioners has been super helpful. They were able to get me scheduled for a few unrelated issues I had just been putting on the side for a while, and recommended me to a consulting facility that actually takes my insurance. My insurance company couldn't even give me that, all of them stopped taking my insurance or were closed off the list I was given! Overall, this has been life changing for me (seriously!), and I am forever grateful to the people who work here for helping me get my health in check and taking my concerns seriously."

"Took my 9yr old son up there on Monday and told them he had strep throat, they said no it's just a virus!! Took him back the next day because he had white spots in his throat and they did a test said it was negative!! Still no antibiotics!!! So took him to a urgent care and guess what!!?? Positive for strep!! 3 days later he finally gets his medicine!!! My poor son!! And now my wife has it!! And they still call today about the culture they sent in and said it was negative still!!!"

"Sad to say. If you call and tell the people there that you are sick, they will say you are not sick. They will say you have to have a fever for 4 to 5 days to do anything, regardless if you took over the counter meds to combat to no prevail. Their answer has been "have you taken a covid test?" It's happened twice in a row. How can a doctors office not want to help. Sure, your booked solid, who isnt. The way your people come off is that it is an inconvenience to try to get help. Again happened multiple times. That's the last time."
