"I am writing this in response to the 1 star "Beware" review. Shamefully I generally don't write reviews but when I read that patients account I felt I had to come to my Dr.'s defense. I sincerely can't believe they were at Smoke Family Vision. My family and I have been patients of Smoke Family Vision Center for over 20 years. All of the Dr.'s I have seen are so knowledgeable and willing to spend time compassionately listening to my concerns and resolving any issues. The staff is continuously friendly and helpful when doing my pretesting or picking out my new frames. I always get compliments on my new looks!!! When I transitioned into progressives the lenses were so perfectly measured and fitted that I had no problem adjusting to them at all! Not the story I hear from many of my friends. I would never go anywhere else. I have complete confidence in them. Don't be afraid to put your eyes in their hands.... :)"

"BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would like to share the experience my wife and I had with the Smoke Vision office in Dowagiac MI. My wife went to them from a friends recommendation, she came home having spent 700$ for glasses. She said how nice and friendly the entire staff was. I made an appointment and bought two pair of glasses 1500$. I also had a good experience, They even replaced a lens that I had scratched for free on the pair of safety glasses I bought. Here's the problem, one year later my wife returned to Smoke Vision for an annual eye exam. They told her that her prescription had changed dramatically and tried to sell her another pair of glasses for 800$. Not wanting to pay that much for glasses again after only a year, we decided to see what Costco had to offer. They had to do their own eye exam before we could purchase glasses from them. 5 minutes into the exam the Dr. told her that she had a cataract in her right eye and there was no point in continuing until the cataract issue is resolved. They referred us to a surgeon. After the surgery to remove the cataract with a laser, She no longer needs glasses. Costco only charged for eye exam, Smoke vision was paid for eye exam and they wanted to sell her new glasses. The real problem was she had a cataract. SMOKE VISION IS EITHER GREEDY OR INCOMPETENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will never return."
